He definitely adds something to our midfield, and has been and will be an excellent pick-up for us. Not super quick, but is a ball getter and great user. Has been quieter the past two weeks, but still playing his role, and hopefully gets a heap of it against Brisbane, because we are going to need all our mids playing at their best....
Went @90% DE, 6 tackles, 3 score involvements. Think he is playing his role. Fly said he isn't big on stats. Its more what you do with them, and he usually hits his targets.

And doesn't play well without JDG and Adams? In other words, he is not an inside mid but an outside one who relies on the work of others to get use of the ball?

Can do a Bit but mostly need help from the In and Under Types.

All Teams need the Lipiniski that can Dispose of it well

Does he? He's a really awkward mix where he's not an inside mid, but he's not fast enough to be an outside mid.

Now we know why the Bulldogs found it hard to play him.
Times have changed with your stoppage team no longer necessarily your linking mid team. His ideal role is high half forward who swaps over with a powerful clearance player like Elliott or JDG, or what we hope McInnes can become. That powerful mid then moves ahead of the ball after the bounce, with Lipinski moving into the midfield as a ruck rover.

He's not quick but he covers a heap of KMs.

He's a good acquisition. You can't blame him for us lacking an inside mid - or three in the case of yesterday.

We need inside mids with Sier's skill set rather than another one-paced receiver.
Sier was skilled at smoking darts and railing chicks.

Agree though, we need inside mids.

IF he could of kept up his 2018 Form he be the Exact type of Mid we need but Sadly did not really care about his AFL Career

He did very well in 2018 and would have been a god if we held on. Sadly he ended up a being nothing more than a fat Cupid.

They’re also allot shorter than Lipinski so it makes sense they can turn allot better. We made a GF with Tom Phillips and Chris Mayne on the wings and he’s certainly faster than them.

He is already showing he is limited. He should be depth only and not playing in front of kids.

Patty is a good get, just needs to harden up a bit

Exactly what I expected when we got him , steady player , neat skills , there to fill a role till our young draftees come on . then it’s adios mustachios. players of that ilk don’t harden up , your either hard , or your not , he is not , far from it , he needs the hard nosed players like Adams and DeGoey around him to do what he does best , receive the ball and set it up with his best skills.

72 metres gained, so he didn't do a lot with those touches.

Pretty easy to have a high DE when you handball backwards 15 times and do some 1-2's

Lipinski is a beautiful kick of the footy and he had 6 kicks 15 handballs against WCE. That kick to handball ratio is all out of whack. It suggests that while he's finding it on the inside he isn't finding enough space to kick.

True, they were short passes. Yeah it wasn't his most ideal game. Onto next week for him. Probably a game we all would like to forget.

Lapinski is not a problem. He is just a cog. Anyone thinking more must have thought the Bulldogs had rocks in their heads for letting him go. They’ve got plenty of Lapinski’s. It’s us that don’t.

He’d be on just a little more than he was at the Dogs and doing just enough to keep his spot. Not setting the world on fire as yet. But serviceable.

He is more a victim of the inept ruck work of Grundy. Maybe if the mids had better service. Their output would be greater also. Chasing arse and always having to recover the turnover from a junk kick from Grundy takes its toll.
