This was raised in the press conference. Fly indicated it may have been something to do with the energy levels after playing some really tough games the last 7 weeks. That they get worked really hard during the week, it sometimes can come with a cost. They'll look into deloading at training.A bit harsh there Dave! I did see a few of the boys take a step back today, they all looked a bit timid for 3 qtrs. I think they may be feeling a bit sore and not wanting the contact too much. It's been a huge 7 weeks of close hard fought battles. We need to freshen up a bit, perhaps a light training week is needed. I'm more looking at Lipinski's kicking capability. He has been shanking a lot lately. This might also be due to fatigue though. Let's see how he backs up next week.
I thought his first half was legitimately terrible. Lifted in the second, thankfully.Disposal was a bit off today, but 17 disposals, 9 contested, 6 tackles, 7 score involvements wasn't too bad.
Wow! Who'd have guessed he got this many possessions! I must blinker him out of my viewing path.Disposal was a bit off today, but 17 disposals, 9 contested, 6 tackles, 7 score involvements wasn't too bad.
Everyone was the same way tbh in that first half, so definitely wasn't just on him. But yeah his 2nd half was good. Like a lot of good players, you understand when you need to lift and you do when needed.I thought his first half was legitimately terrible. Lifted in the second, thankfully.
I reckon he has a shoulder issue. He has had it strapped in the last week, which Ive never seen it happen before. He has been disappointing on occasions when we've needed a clearance mid. Reckon he is sore. I think he is absolutely quality enough to be a premiership player. Averaging 22 touches a game this year. Let's hope for a big one next week. We will need it.
Not wrong. I think 2 or 3 players showed up early in that game.Everyone was the same way tbh in that first half, so definitely wasn't just on him. But yeah his 2nd half was good. Like a lot of good players, you understand when you need to lift and you do when needed.
Yeah, I think they have admitted they were poor in that first half, but found a way in that last quarter. Not wrong. I think 2 or 3 players showed up early in that game.
Because they freed up. They were too tense. Norf were having fun at first but got a shock when Collingwood came back as normally we pack up in the third and go home.Yeah, I think they have admitted they were poor in that first half, but found a way in that last quarter.
I just don't get the love for him. Someone will push him out of the side eventually - maybe Carmichael, someone who more approximates an inside mid and can help us get first use of the ball from clearances. I would be very interested to see his stats today because I rarely saw him touch the ball. He is OK as a foot soldier, but I can't see him as part of a premiership winning midfield combination.
He could also push out Lipiniski to WHE’s role.I actually agreed with this 100%. If we are going for a forward / mid, I think Carmichael will replace him. If he turns into a pure half forward, he could replace WHE.

I'm constantly amazed at the disrespect paid to WHE.
Choice of Lippa or WHE might become a problem very soon.
