WHE has been impacting games. Lipinski just grinds away.

WHE is clearly much quicker and runs very well both ways… and can take a decent contested mark occasionally when deep forward

Lipinski is slow but getting more ball, winning more contests, tackling more, averaging more metres gained, and generating more inside 50s and goal assists.

No world beater… but does more than you think

Certainly does more than I see, and doesn't do what he does in areas I had assumed and hoped he would excel in.

WHE easily for mine if I had to choose. He has had a good year.

I do like Lipinski but I like WHE more. They are not like for like, not even close. :)

He has been disappointing on occasions when we've needed a clearance mid.
Given that he isnt a clearance mid, I cant see how he can have been disappointing...its a bit like being disappointed in Noble cause of a lack of contested marks, or Coxy for failing to crumb....

Lipinski is a slowish, outside mid with nice skills and vision. Clearances and inside grunt aren't his thing

Over in the Nick Daicos thread on the main board a poster is genuinely potting Daicos for a lack of contested marking. Says he can’t be defending anybody if he isn’t taking contested marks. You can’t make this stuff up!

Pendles goes alright for a guy who takes a contested mark every 4 games over his career. Similar story for Judd, Ablett Jr., and more.

He's had less hitouts than Max Gawn too. Delist

If he isn't a clearance mid then we shouldn't be putting him into all the centre square bounces.
Simples.

True but his point was that those guys (aside from Pendles this year) didn’t play half-back, whereas Nick does, and so he must play it like Howe or he’s overrated.

Yeah, which is in itself stupid.

Andrew McLeod took 0 contested marks as a flanker (both ends) until his 80th game. He went alright

In the afl official stats

He is 3rd for most disposals for the club (behind Nick, Crisp)
2nd for pressure acts
3rd for score involvements
3rd for goal assists
5th for clearances
1st for handballs

Think he is playing his role well. Not something I would have thought we would be even talking about 4 months into his first year at a new club.

Pretty clear he shouldn't be anywhere near a centre bounce though, for all his attributes, centre bounce is not one of them.
He's better equipped to stoppages rather than CB. Which is why he starts forward and then gets involved through the midfield in general play, which seems to be his role.

And a beautiful master stroke by Fly to introduce Nick to senior footy via the half back. Seamless.

See there's the problem. I thought he was a clearance mid when we got him. If he is an outside mid, then I hope he is replaced asap by someone more speedy. He'd be good depth.

His first game seduced supporters into thinking he is better than he is. He is depth.

He is welcome to seduce me any day, the sexy minx

He's the player who usually swaps with Jordy after Jordy takes the centre bounces right?
