Good old Pat, much like WHE they model their game on Forrest Gump, they just run and run but they don't know why they are doing it. We all followed them but we were expecting something special at the end and then they just stopped

is there another general principle we can extract?

very handsome men are simply not trustworthy - Clinton, Trudeau, ottoman ...

Tony Shaw had a head like a meth dealer's dog, but God he was reliable

Agree with most of this but Clinton handsome? Shifty looking stiff if ever there was one. Can’t speak to the aesthetics of ottoman but going by posts a cross between Derek zoolander and athas hrysoulakis?

Not even close on ottoman

Whilst the man is an utter fool, he is jacked like Adonis with a face that makes straight men tremble and reverses menopause

Even if I had been reminding you that you hammered me about Lipinski coming straight back in -- which I said wasn't the biggest issue in the world but something I questioned -- that's not the same as falsely attributing a position -- hoping our players get injured -- to someone. So yes, passive aggressive.

It's fine, we've all written things that we didn't think through, were glib or unfair. I've done it before.
I did think it through.

He's slow and not very good in a contest, but he gets a lot of the footy for his role and generally uses it well. It's all about expectations, as I think he's playing at 2022 Lipinski level, which was much the same and got him praise.

He probably has played HF for too much this season. We are now in a position to try him more as a starting mid.

Yeah we didn’t lose the contested ball by enough last week.

Nah, he's not an AFL stoppage mid. This was the role he played second half of last year and to much the same level as he's going now. It's a front of the pack outside mid role really - despite the forward 6 starting position.

Imagine a starting midfield of pendles, Mitchell and lipinski, if you thought 18 to 3 centre clearances was bad well……
Pendlebury rarely is one of the starting mids, he comes on later.

I wouldn’t have any of them starting this week. Go back to the obvious,
Jordy - most explosive mid
Crisp - won last 2 B and F
Adams - been our best inside mid for about a decade

Exactly this.

We need to get faster, hit the ball with pace, harder, bigger bodied in the middle ..cameos from:
_McCreery: has all the tools but lacks some self-confidence ..needs to push boundaries of what he can do!
_Maynard: has all the size/power & attack on ball to hurt in there ..we need some cnut
_Hill: has the speed & ability (albeit v.light) to run through CS stoppages at pace as point of difference
_IQ: has all the physical tools but probably a bit too reactive in reading the play at the moment
