Nah, he's not an AFL stoppage mid. This was the role he played second half of last year and to much the same level as he's going now. It's a front of the pack outside mid role really - despite the forward 6 starting position.
I know fonz, hopefully he starts getting more involved. I agree that his form is pretty much the same as last year. I was never overly thrilled by him as a player but he does have a knack of being really good in clutch moments when we are making one of our many comebacks

He's slow and not very good in a contest, but he gets a lot of the footy for his role and generally uses it well. It's all about expectations, as I think he's playing at 2022 Lipinski level, which was much the same and got him praise.

he isn't near his 2022 form imo. turnovers and fumbles are too frequent in his game.

You think Bucks didn’t have favourites that he refused to drop?

Tom Phillips and Callum Brown would like a word mate

Callum played SEVENTY AFL games.

SEVENTY.

Callum Brown.

Callum Brown managed 70 games for us.
I’ve blocked the Buckley years out of my memory banks.
Thanks for giving me PTDS…..

Big opportunity for Lippa on a wing this week with Sidey out. Wing is his natural position, so I am expecting a big step up in performance and some excellent delivery into our F50. Here’s hoping!

His best game since return last night, and interestingly coincided with a shift back into middle of the park - a move none of us expected or likely would've made.

It'd be good to have him continue that midfield form into finals now.
He was okay, still has some glaring weakness (very slow on the outside and not particularly strong on the inside). I know he had 8 tackles or whatever but watching the games there were a few moments where his tackling efforts were weak, I think one Ratugolea just brushed him aside.

Getting better with each game. Hope he peaks for September.

It was his best game all season by far, put in physically like he hasn't yet this season and it transformed his game.

That's the standard he needs to play to as he was excellent for most part vs Geelong I thought.

Yeah ok but when the balls there to win and he squibs at the contest... I don't want that in the team
He does win his share of hard balls at times, but maybe not as much as people want him to, I suppose. I get we all want him to be this hard insider, but he's more class what he does on the outside. Cant have everything we want, just take the good with the bad.

Have you emailed the club? Just so they're aware.

Must be real soft to reach AFL standard... in a top team, soft as butter ya reckons hey
He never was, and never will be, a midfield bull.
He is, however, a quality mid with excellent disposal skills by hand and foot.
He is running into form, and we need good F50 entries, which he provides and which we have at times lacked this season.

Clean hands. Runs all day. We're ordinary in the centre square because numbers are even, but when we're on we dominate contests and pressure around the ground because blokes like Lippa run their arses off and thus we often get an extra around the contest. It's a numbers game and 4 beats 3 way more often than not

Same reason why it's Cameron over Cox in the ruck - he just gets to more contests, even if he's less likely to clunk a mark, having him in more contests trumps that.
