Is it just me, or has Pat added toughness to his game in the last few weeks? He's looking so much harder at the ball and better in the contest at the moment. He's beating blokes one on one and is even effecting aerial contests.

I never considered him particularly soft, just less contested in style and application. He's impacting contests physically at the moment. I've never associated that with him.

He has been extremely soft, or better described, not physical enough when he needs to be (nobody on an AFL field is soft).

He has been driving me nuts all year. But today, today was the best game ive sent him play. Head over the ball, good and strong in the contest, great in a few marking contests too. He went back against the blues late quite bravely, hopefully it's been the switch for him.

Has had a really good last two weeks after a poor start to the season. I don’t expect him to play like Tarzan or anything, but it’s been refreshing to see him put his body on the line more often.
