Was a better kick than half our squad, but being his size he needed a bit more than that.

I thought he was defensively solid. His kicking was more than decent, but his gimmick (that pulling the kick late into a controlled 3/4-power chip was just his normal kicking action) was worked out in about 30 minutes at AFL level.

Lyons played nearly 200 games at AFL level and dominates VFL, while Partington was their best midfielder before the year off, both are clearly better players than Snook. Parnell can play wing/half back.

Parnell isnt a key defender like the other 2, plus Curran is a pseudo-coach.

Partington has always had minimum hurt factor clearly why he didn't last long in the AFL.

Not from the couple of games I saw from him.
His career average disposal efficiency shows as below average, maybe he can’t handball?
(Pretty much every stat is below average)

I genuinely believe it was to try and snare a SANFL flag, weakening a rival in the process. There's no other explanation.
