Weren't you the one castigating for being unfit? Bandwagoner :p

Actually I thought his best play of the night wasn't one of his 4 goals. It was our 2nd goal, he received the ball in the back pocket, pinpointed a pass to Barry Hall, slicing between 3 defenders, who then handballed to Eski who sizzled, yes sizzled it's back, one through the open goals.

Play of the night for me.
Haha, nahh, he's been my favourite player (along with Nicky) since I saw him in the ressies Round 2. I just didn't want to see him chucked into the team with no prep, to see him spent and ruined. He hasn't, and I've been happily proved wrong :)

Very impressive for a 3rd(?) gamer and he may snatch the final Rising star nomination.

He obviously still needs to work very hard on his fitness over the pre-season, he looked absolutely stuffed every time he ran more than 10 metres.

Agreed. That surely was a Rising Star nom effort. His tackling and defensive pressure in our forward 50m was almost as impressive as his goal-kicking.

Sorry, not at all.

LRT is a premiership player, who was unlucky not to win a Norm Smith, who is a decent, tall, hard working, courageous part of the unit.

Grundy IMHO is sadly not going to make it.

The St kilda player used to chat up every woman in the universe.

make sense now?

I have been disappointed with Grundy until the past few weeks, when he's shown some really good signs that he's starting to work it out.
He's been getting far more involved, has actually started to make a positive impact and ... maybe I'm missing something ... but I think he's taken a couple of big steps forward, and last night he was good again.
Is using the ball better.
Great mark running back with the flight of the ball too.

WTF?!?! Alipate Carlile got the Round 22 nomination?! Patty deserved it WAAAY more!!
Ahh well. He starts next year with senior experience + a pre season run (knock on wood) to have a much bigger impact. He has a nomination well and truly sown next year if he keeps this up (knock on wood).

Yeah fair enough, so have I. But just because his team was brilliant doesn't mean he deserves it, when we won by a similar margin and Vesz was a lot better. I watched the Port-Roos match, and he wasn't anything more than ordinary IMO.

oh well....

imo, patrick veszpemi premiership player :D:):thumbsu: sounds better than patrick veszpremi rising star nominee

all his deserved accolades will come in a few weeks

Veszpremi

Sorry, sorry I know I'm being a bit pedantic, but I've seen some weird horrible variations of his name. We need to know how to spell the name of one of the stars of our future, right?

actually i want pat 2 be dropped and not play with the seniors this week

I want him 2 go 2 Canberra with his friends/team mates and try 2 win a Premiership considering he has been with those up until about a Month ago he deserves to play with his team and i think with pat they can win it!

You would be dissappointed with is game tonight.

Showed a worrying soft streak that doesnt fit well with the grain of that side.

Well he suffered an injury in the third quarter... Might be why you didn't see much of him.

Though he came back on for pretty much all of the last... so hmm, don't know what you mean really.

played against both vezspremi and kreuzer in the yjfl under 15 section 1 grandfinal, we lost by 40 points no suprises why. big suprise vezspremi was picked up at number 11 thought he got under the radar, rated him better then kreuzer i think he is a much better player and was during their junior days

He ran out of the way of Brian Harris in the last quarter, actually moved off his line, and turned his body.

Yep. I was disgusted. Players like that have no place in finals footy.

You're not being sarcastic? You actually agree?

The commentators actually glossed over it, but in thre replay you can see Kirk glaring at him on the way past.

Not good to see, but maybe he'll get better, first year and all.

I'm serious. I was at the game and saw it first hand. I may be being a bit harsh as there are some very good players who have been guilty of squibbing a contest at one stage in their careers. Let's just hope it was a one off and not part of his character.

yeah, I noticed it too, also dont know if it showed on tv, he went down on the wing like hed been k'od, footy was still goin on around him, he didnt even look or seem to care at the doggies players sharing it around and run it out with ease, he was concerned with his 'injury' (so was I), he managed to leave the ground on his own feet, slight stumble, I know, poor boy etc, but at least he should have been a little concerned about his opponents, even if concussed woteva, u still should have that mindset, I know Im being harsh on the kid, but thats what he needs...
