Fantastic to see him kicking 4 goals.. could've been more, but ahh that one from just outside 50 was a beauty.

Roos was roasted for picking another medium mid/forward, but this guy is our future.. and he's going to keep getting better!

He obviously still needs to work very hard on his fitness over the pre-season, he looked absolutely stuffed every time he ran more than 10 metres.

Actually I thought his best play of the night wasn't one of his 4 goals. It was our 2nd goal, he received the ball in the back pocket, pinpointed a pass to Barry Hall, slicing between 3 defenders, who then handballed to Eski who sizzled, yes sizzled it's back, one through the open goals.

That was an abhorration, he's normally very accurate.

I reckon he'll get the NAB for this round, easily. Based pretty much on the fact that it'd be between him and Bird - the only two youngsters who haven't gotten it aren't they? - and he played a lot better.

He'll be moved into the midfield in years to come. He uses the ball so well to be wasted up forward. Also won an U18 All-Australian in the back pocket so he's a very versatile player.

Sorry, not at all.

LRT is a premiership player, who was unlucky not to win a Norm Smith, who is a decent, tall, hard working, courageous part of the unit.

Grundy IMHO is sadly not going to make it.
