Some old ********** sitting in the Carlton members area at Etihad against Adelaide kept screaming how useless Bowyer was. Silver hair, he had the ear of a few passive nongs behind him without the courage to suggest that not even knowing the players correct name might have been indicative of the shithead's game knowledge overall.

I didn't waste my time with it as it was only the second time I'd used my reserved seat all year. The same stuff goes on next year I shall have no hesitation informing the old **** that of the 40,000 opinions at the ground, his is in a holding pattern behind the latrine lollies for relevance and/or public interest.

Emu, great season fella. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

think that's how you spell that large flightless bird...

Is Bradshaw-phobic unfortunately.

He has progressed a lot, but I still have my heart in my mouth every time he has the ball in his hands.

I really felt for him tbh. If you can bare it, check the replay of that last Bradshaw goal. Bower was basically hopping due to injury. Didn't give up though. Gotta respect that

Had a shocking first couple of years with Pagan destroying his confidence by putting him on the pitch for a couple of minutes, and then dragging him if he made an error (and while I am a huge fan of Emu's, he made a lot of errors because of his lack of confidence and game time).

When Ratts came in, he suddenly found out what it was like to have a coach that was willing to let you make the mistakes so that you could learn from them and in the last 6 games of 2007, he started showing what he could do with a bit of belief and patience.

This year he has really stepped up and since that collision with T-Bird that left him playing injured he has had to play, as people said, on one leg for the later part of the season.

I am expecting with Jammo and Waite back in the side next year for Bower to continue the excellent work he has done this year and go to the next level.

He is never going to be a gorilla playing on the monster forwards, but he is going to become an excellent attacking backman for us and setup a lot of our forward attacks.

Well done to the young man for overcoming the crap that he has to become an important part of our backline.

If I have one wish this pre-season it's for Bower to spend the whole time in the weights room. He's my favourite player, and I believe he can be an AA CHB, I think the crap that he can't be a key defender is just that, crap, but I was gutted at the start of this year when he came out in round 1 and hadn't put on any muscle. If he can bulk him i have no doubt he can be an elite defender. has all the physical characteristics to make it

could be released into a nick maxwell type position next year (third man up, loose man in d) but with actual athleticism and skill.
