Injury Paul Chapman - calf strain

The poster who suggested they have confused Chappy with Hunt is probably spot on.

Seems Chappy wasn't on the flight to Perth #JustSaying

There was a moment on Friday night when it looked like he did his hammy again and he limped around for a while, but he came out afterwards and finished off the game. Might be related to that . . .

This. Felt like the entire Geelong following at the ground collectively shuddered at seeing him pull up. But he played it out. If he was sore he would have been pulled out already. He will play.

Yep - as much as I mlike Wojo his injury riddled year and age makes me like the idea of Schroder.

Good reward for effort.

Even harder to win without the Chapmister.

Wow I hope all the injured come good before the finals

Calf injuries can be very tricky from what I have seen-obviously depends on the nature of it, but look at Hodge for example.
Hopefully a minor one for Chappy -take no chances and back against Doggies. Need him for the finals.
Whatever, the game these days is so tough you just have to get used to plugging the gaps, adapt and get on with it.

I think Wojo will be a good inclusion.

He still has the speed (which will be useful getting around West Coasts taller players) and has the experience to deal with pressure. With Chappy, Corey, Hunt and Kelly out, we need the experience.

You'd think Schroder will come in for Chapman, as he was the best in the VFL on Sunday.

Wojcinski has only had the one VFL game back from injury.
You'd also think that he'd come in because he has match fitness on a ground that tires players out like nothing else, plus he's a hard nut in a team that won't have Chapman, Corey and Kelly.

Chappy 2.0 (more awesome than B&F and Norm Smith medallist) or a poor man's Paul Chapman (like, um, Daniel Lowther or Tim Hargreaves)

It's too early to say but I'd be happy if the new model is 3/4 as good as the original.

I can barely remember how good/bad Lowther was but that ex-Hawk Hargreaves wasn't much chop was he? Didn't Ayres trade Aaron Lord for him?

Have heard 2nd hand information, though from reliable people (ie. Chapman family), that he also has a perforated ear drum atm - possibly from the Guerra contact.

Most definitely would exacerbate any reasons for him to miss, along with the calf.

Accurate I would say...I remember when Chappy was coming off the ground he was touching his right ear. That gives me hope he might be back next week.
