MRP / Trib. Paul Curtis

We never win at MRP they absolutely hate us.

Panel is made up of an old boys club and we aren't part of it.

As if Christian would have suspended Daicos for something similar we all know it. Curtis is just the easy target.

Geez that's rough. Looked like a legit tackle, Curtis was just unlucky enough to get both arms.

I’d like Christian and his nitwits tomorrow to come out and explain what you expect Curtis to do and don’t say “don’t concuss him”….this whole suspending the outcome is getting OTT. Of course Ginbey can pummel Lalor into the next suburb for nothing though lol

I just saw the vision. Are the AFL serious?! What a joke of a decision. That's a normal football action that is perhaps a free kick at most. Happens many times in a game.

Sometimes they say it's the action and not the outcome. Other times they say it is not the action but the outcome.

If he wasn't concussed, this wouldn't have even been cited, let alone a 3 week suspension. Unfortunate he got concussed, but shouldn't be a suspension at all.

I'm gunna go there- Sinn played for an in the back free and got it all kinds of wrong.
The issue is that players being tackled will continue to work the system , and there is no deterrent from doing so.

If you get a chance listen to what Jimmy Bartel said, basically that Sinn showed less than zero awareness. He is right.

Christian is the worst thing in the game and it’s not even close

Same tackle as Nic Nat on Amon a few years back.

Curtis should’ve taken the height and weight factor into account in the split second tackle…. What a joke

the tribunal's reasons basically amount to that he should have slowed down and considered all of his options when making a split second chase down tackle.

Meanwhile their own social media accounts are celebrating Watson's tackle on Reid. They want the theatre of chase down tackles but they don't want to deal with the potential consequences of them

Yeah exactly they would make up some excuse to not be consistent if it was a player like Nick Daicos.

“Football action” if it were Daicos lol

Sinns knees don’t drop until Curtis has already dropped his body weight into the tackle and behind Sinn. His weight downwards and momentum forwards is what caused his knees to drop.

When he received the ball he was in motion. Meaning, his legs were also bent in the process of running (you’re not braced for impact when you’re moving).

It was the force applied by Curtis that caused Sinn to fall the way he did. Did he intend it to result the way it did? Of course not. However majority of players unless they were significantly heavier or were balanced and not in the process of running and had centred their gravity, would have fallen in the exact same way.

Well something like concussion isn't going to get in the way of money-making. Of course a big star isn't going to be suspended for something like this come the business end of the season.

This is just a nice soft kill that the AFL can point to when the next class action hits.
If i was a lawyer involved in a class action I'd be presenting this decision and the AFL's promotion of the Watson tackle at almost the same time the suspension was announced as clear evidence that any attempt the AFL makes to remove concussion from the game is lip service at best.

lol hahahahahaha

They really should just shake hands with the Dons and play touch for a full game and see what the AFL does

No touching high though lol

In protest on Thursday night,

Fans: yell BS for the whole 3rd quarter.
North players: Don’t lay a tackle for the game.

See how the AFL react to that.

The stupid thing is they are happy to suspend guys for home and away games but as soon as its a key player missing a final or late in the season Brownlow favourite all of a sudden intent matters and the knees digging in would be taken into account.

The AFL wouldn’t want to negatively impact their mates at the TAB.
