I’ve got him in BFDL and also heard he had great speed and is a backmen so was hoping for a fun defender. But I guess I’ll cop his elite goal sense.

With new players added, does the waiver order reset to reverse current ladder position?

Nah when u use Ur waiver on someone you move to the back of the waiver priority queue.

Defeats the purpose of a mid season draft when the bottom sides are further disadvantaged. We're the ones most likely to use waivers to pick up players as the season goes on
I agree with you. However a mid season draft was never possible in UF and in keeper hosting a mid season draft is a paid feature.
Considering how little value is typically available it’s a tough sell to get everyone to pay up.
If you feel strongly though raise a reset waiver order to ladder position each round for next season. It’s how lots of other leagues handle it. This league has been under this system though for years and I don’t recall anyone raising concern.
I have pick 1 and a poor team, I get both pros and cons to how it works.
I felt like raising it but didn’t want to when i am the one (hopefully not for much longer) who likely benifits from changing the waiver rules.
Anyway I have made the decision to forgo other waivers knowing maybe from previous years that you can’t pick a waiver all year or you lose rights to the Mid season draft.
I think it would allow the bottom teams to add more depth throughout the year if ran on ladder position.
Like I said I get it is different to BFDL and these differences are nice.

You aren't further disadvantaged man. I have no control over the mid season draft. The waiver order has functioned like this since day 1 of this league it makes ppl think about their waiver adds as when you're high up on the waiver order you would want to be more tactical with how you use it. The bottom team does start at waiver pick 1 it just resets if you choose to use it (only resets when you actually claim someone on waivers not just when you add a free agent) and that's up to the coach as to when they do use it.

Should be premiers get pick 1 or waiver 1 imo, runners up 2. So there's some kind of reward.
Let's be real here, it's the MSD. Yes there's going to be random times one of these guys becomes relevant. However most of the time they're not.

Only 2 players drafted (excluding the Essendon blokes) in the end anyway.
I was so excited when I had pick 1 in the MSD and got Jai Culley. He played a bit but his 1 above avg game probably didn’t match my expectations.

I did get Ned Long from the mid season draft last year, one of my best pick ups but agree there isn't much usually available

TBH I havent even looked at who was drafted except a very quick scan to see melb took no one. Prob wouldve taken someone in BFDL but i used all 5 of my adds like an idiot lol
