Good point, and something we forget at times. Just because a guy doesn't make it in the AFL doesn't mean it hasn't been worth their effort. Being fit and healthy is reward enough.

Though I'm not sure I can forgive you for the slight on Tim Tams.

I think many supporters are becoming a little precious here. I didn't think 'onetonylockett' was suggesting any shame or trying to denigrate the Roos boys when he made the statement "neither are good enough to play afl." He was just stating his opinion about the boys, which also applies to 99.99% of our general male population. Hardly a putdown!

huh you mean me?? I wasnt having a go at onetonylockett I was just sayin that Paul Roos would be proud, there are a higher percentage of kids their age that are lazy internet junkies.. I could have said bong heads or binge drinkers or pill poppers thieves or many other things I can think of, and all would be true, my point is they are having a crack at something very healthy and as a parent you couldnt ask more.

You could have also read it that way if you chose to, no need to make any more of it..

If one of Roosy's kids nominated for the draft then Brisbane would have first digs cause the old man played the majority of his career with Fitzroy/Brisbane.He didn't quite get to the required 100 games for father and son at the Swans in the current system.

I have heard rumours that the F/S will be changed but don't know how.

Both sons are members of the academy so if they are good enough and want to be AFL players then they will play for Sydney unless we are outbid.

We don't have dibs on them anyways. Roos only played 98 games for us. The Lions have that honour.

Actually we do as you forget that Paul Roos has lived in NSW since 1995 which means that his kids are eligible for the NSW Scholarship scheme and you can guarantee that if his kids are any good the Swans will snap them up.

Thats good enough for me.

its also good to see almost half the team is from Sydney area as more talented kids play the game
