Yeah. Not related to goals but akin to how WC had to rethink it down back when McKenzie and Brown went down for them and A.Pearce took his opportunity this year when Johnno did his hammy. I'm torn as I am with Celine in that my heart wants Pav to go on but my head would prefer him to retire to force the issue which is where I am leaning. If Pav is not there, it really changes the dynamic and perhaps makes our brain trust think a little harder about where the goals come from.

If Pav retires I'm thinking that the change in our forward line could be that a previous experiment might be tried again and Silvagni may get another crack at CHF .
Yes alright he didn't kick many goals but our forwards benefited from his hard at it contests that bought the ball to ground and he willingly threw himself into contests which upset opposition backline structures . Silvagni also did a lot of blocking in marking contests allowing Ballas and Walters easier marks .
I'm not saying he should play there every game of next year only that he should be given another go , thats all .
Alex Pearce can play both ends but he needs time to get his body stronger and Snoz is a fully developed unit so while Alex is getting there we have a plan B.
There is 0 chance of this happening. If Pav retires I'm thinking that the change in our forward line could be that a previous experiment might be tried again and Silvagni may get another crack at CHF .
I will remind you that I made a similar post and when he played there due to Pav injury and that's exactly how he played .There is 0 chance of this happening.
Edited to make slightly more sense.I will remind you that I made a similar post and barble warble barble warble gloop gloop gloop! .
You ARE new aren't youAm new so please forgive me. Are the conversations supposed to have absolutely any relevance to the topic title?

Self inflicted obesity is not covered by health insurance so you better start agreeing with me and save yourselfI've made my wife get me a biscuit for every time you pump up Alex Silvagni's tyres.
I am now morbidly obese and diabetic.
FU coulda!
Welcome to BIG FOOTY and enjoy the summer .We have more conversations about everything but footy .Am new so please forgive me. Are the conversations supposed to have absolutely any relevance to the topic title?

Does he accept any blame? I think stopping the guys just before they came out of the race for a pep talk (something they wouldn't normally do) was the wrong move and then not committing himself to the ball at the first opportunity to take a mark would have also sent the wrong message.Just started reading Pav's new book. Oh, that prologue of the GF day is pretty bloody emotional stuff. Gave me a big lump in my throat. The one that got away![]()

Lots of batting eyelids and drooping mouths, but no alternative views?
I just wanted to know whether Pav took any responsibility as Captain in his book. I haven't read it yet.
At the time of the GF I raised the same points and nobody seemed to want to touch it then either.
