Got plenty of the pill today but his disposal was absolutely shocking. I don't think I saw him do one good thing. Constantly turning it over and messing things up. I like the bloke but he is the weakest link. Goodbye!

I was dissapointed for him because he did try very hard just couldn't pull off a decent disposal to save his life.

In some ways (run, effort etc) today, he improved....but I can't remember a worse individual display of kicking skills in a game, ever!

It's not just the skills, it's the lack of vision and awareness. Getting run down, handballing to team mates in worse position, putting them under the pump.

Put it this way. If he isn't running it through the lies and kicking long goals he's pretty much a liability!

Well then you weren't watching the game too closely or have no understanding of it. I'm not about to defend him overall. If Foster, or Brock are ready to go, then he's gooorn, but that is a total over the top statement, the sort of thing I expect from Walsy and the like. He works hard, ran all day, not just in bursts and has a go. He was one of a number of players who were able to run through the Eagles lines. It didn't come off so well today, especially his kicking, oh my :o, but in a good day for the club, lets not get overthetop negative.

One of the worst individual displays from a Dockers player I can remember.

Woeful is being kind

But he got his hands on the ball 17 times, most of those were clangers but he presented and ran and he and he .... I'm flogging a dead horse aren't I?:)

Seriously though, worst EVER, and in a winning side? The early years had some pretty bad performances - no doubt the Dockers worst today (though that saving tackle from Black saved him from giving Peake a run for that title) and pretty down all year so far, but worst EVER - actually re-reading your quote, you say 'worst that you can remember'. Hitting the celebratory beers pretty heavily I guess. :p

One of our resident weavils (possibly the great Embers himself ) did mention something on here the other day saying that Peake has a groin injury. Might explain his inability to kick the ball above the ground? He cannot be in the team next week - Solly, Ibbo, Thornton are all pushing for selection and couldn't be as bad if they tried.

Brett Peake is my favourite player, i was happy with his efforts today but his kicks were terrible, maybe a couple of weeks in wafl will do him good, but hopefully he stays in the side and improves more.

But today i was happy with his return.:)

Certainly appears that way Chook. He is shanking them like Juddy & Matt Carr did last year (Although Matt Carr is still shanking some) and usually He is not that bad.

Interesting stats here guys.

Peake- 17 disposals, 5 clangers. 60% efficiency
Black- 15 disposals, 8 clangers. 70 % efficiency

who was worse?

Yes, it was interesting to have a look at the disposal efficiency... Ryan Murphy and Rhys Palmer had a worse percentage than Peake did. I thought Palmer's disposal was pretty good and really only noticed Peake's poor kicking.

Peake's disposal definitely looked worse than the others, mainly because he struggled to get his kicks above ground. Some of them did actually make it to a teammate, but it was more luck than good execution. He really seems to have a problem at the moment.

peake was turning it over under no pressure at all, whereas you can forgive a bloke who handballs out of a pack and it gets intercepted or goes to space.

it seemed whenever he was about to do something good he picked the wrong option or missed the target. he doesn't slow down before he kicks it, and he needs to, he's always had a problem with that. he doesn't work hard enough either. for obvious reasons he could be such a handy player for us but i'm not convinced he's got it in him.

palmer on the other hand followed his runs and line breaking by hitting a forward on the chest, his skills look very impressive and won some hard balls around the packs. I'd be on him for the rising star at this stage.

that one turnover of murphys when he passed it instead of kicking for goal was tear your hair out material.

and jeez schammer worked hard today.

Bloody shame he cant kick.

During the game I said a few times he should be dropped next week.
He was lucky not to give free kick away in the toast goal square in the last 1/4 when he tried to run through the pack.

Ibbo in Peak out.

I've been a fan but he just doesn't look interested.

Not interested is a bit harsh. When you've been kicking the ball like a bag of flour all game, most players would have no confidence left - but Peake continued to run his guts out demanding the ball. He clearly loves to play the game - shame he couldn't hit the side of a barn if he was standing inside it.
