Excuse the clumsy thread title - imitating something corny The Sun would run with :p

First of all don't confuse my intentions here - I love Jammo and do not want to swap him for Pears

What I am seeking your thoughts on are

1) Should he be told to take more risks - told that we have the confidence in his ability to try and hurt the opposn going the other way?

2) He seems to be an excellent lock down player but are the Presti types inferior to the Scarlett types in todays footy?

I suppose I am thinking that any defender/tagger nowadays makes it harder for his opponent if they give them something to worry about too by having an attacking side to their game

ps Maybe I am just looking for alternatives to rehashing Friday all week ;)

So they are your thoughts huh - I guess I could have got crazier :o

I reckon when we're up and running and the confidence as a team is up and the all isn't coming in to defensive 50 ad-nauseum, Jamo runs off his man and creates well

If he is, I dont think he is being used Gilly

I had not done any research before tossing it around (I like to make mid-weak threads) but just did a quick comparison

'09 Disposals

Jammo Av = 9
Scarlett Av = 18

I meant to say he is capable and prepared to back himself......Scarlett is about the best going around, and would have a fair bit of confidence in his midfield that the ball aint necessarily coming back in that quick

Yeah I know (I wasn't trying to be smart)

But I hope the back coach is encouraging him to do it and maybe instructing his mates to use him more as he is a good kick and is unlikely to stitch himself up with a clanger

Jamo still struggles on the big forwards ala Lloyd and co.

And his field kicking is good, but he kicks into the man on the mark very often. And his kick-in's often turnover.

Love our Jammo. Think we'd struggle to find a better man.

LOL!

He does and has done it a few times...
