What's Ballard like pace wise? Any comparison to a particular player? Hes been dominating/consistent at WAFL level
Apart from last week when he was quiet along with the whole team he has been pretty consistent.

Disposal sometimes dodgy, but works hard.

Funnily enough reminds me a lot of Viv Michie in terms of performance. Probably never an A-grader but a good honest foot soldier.

Is he AFL quality?
Honestly, I don't think so. He is probably AFL quality in a poor team but we have too many good mids to need him - at best depth to cover injuries.

I think our next A-grader will be Lachie Weller, with Langdon also looking classy. Blakely may end up being a Mundy type mid eventually, but not just yet.

I have a feeling Ballard might end up being trade bait :(

Sounds like it's occurred to these young fellas and fringe oldies that there might just be a few spots in the firsts on offer after last night's loss. :thumbsu:

Fingers crossed for a consistent performance from a few young blokes and someone is rewarded with a debut next week.

Have a feeling with this too. He's probably thinks he deserves a shot at AFL given his numbers and looking at our depth in midfield.

You at the game FreoRicci? I couldn't make it today, looks like I missed a good one!
Haha nah mate, just listening to it as well as updating stats. Blakely on 18 touches approaching time on in the 2nd quarter. Ballard with 19. Mzungu very quiet by the sounds of it.

De Boer has been a bit around the pack. Smith is really not doing anything of note, hoping Mzungu is okay. Very quiet for him. Needs a game like today to really break out and put his hand up.

I think smith has been quite strong in the one on ones. He hasn't managed to get his hands to the ball but he's competing well.
