and Yarran could be a triple!Yes was a wwt old game and Deluca was hard at it. On that note he could be a double premiership player.

Personally I think a cutoff of 5 WAFL games isn't right, it should be a combo of say no more than 10-12 AFL games but must have played 8 WAFL games too. We'd have 11 guys under the 10 AFL games which feels about right to me.
All you need as a maximum number of AFL listed players - a dozen or so would be fair.

I doubt that put much thought in to it. 5 games to qualify for finals is fairly standard across all leagues that I have played in. i reckon that just kept that running with the WAFL.The other wafl clubs signed of on the regulations
I would of thought more than 5 games as a minimum requirement would of been negotiated

Personally I agree with what others have said, must play a minimum of around 8 WAFL games, about half a season and then disqualified if they have played more than 10 AFL games.
I agree with you saying 8 wafl games it sounds fairer for the comp.
I didn't realise that 5 games was standard across the other leagues. If that is standard then I don't sympathize with people complaining about Freo players who have qualified this year but happy for an increase for next season.

I think according to those rules;
Griffin, Clarke, Langdon, Suban and Blakely would have been ineligible. But the first three players mentioned would only have been one AFL appearance above the cutoff, so the club would have probably manipulated the appearances so as to maximise the number of players fronting up for Peel in the finals anyway.
I don't think an adoption of VFL rules would have stopped the whingers this year.
The thing is without Freo and WC handouts the WAFL clubs would be down the toilet. This outrage from the other WAFL clubs is so hypocritical. They have no problem taking the two AFL clubs dollars. The only strong WAFL club financially is Subi and thats because of the deal they have with Domain. Subi's members area rakes in the dollars during the AFL games. Its the reason Subi are so strong and are looking at a three peat. Where is the outrage over Subi's financial deal.
