Peel Thunder - 2016

I am really excited with this year peel thunder line up, well balance side as compare to last two seasons. Hope they do better than last year result wise.

Yep agree, very top heavy at times last year but should be better across the board this year.

I think I am looking forward to seeing Peel play almost as much as Freo :):):)

Same

I only got a few glimpses of Balic but I think once he gets himself right will be an excellent choice from the recruiting staff.

I'll be watching him closely. Just enjoyed watching him glide across the oval.

Any news on TV schedules?

Peel play their first pre-season game on Sat (27 Feb), 2:15pm @ Steel Blue Oval (Bassendean) vs Swans.

Round out their preseason with a game at Rushton (Bendigo Bank Stadium) on 12 March, 2:15pm against Clatemont.

Excuse my ignorance but is there anyway that all the Peel games could be shown on TV or through Fremantle media?

I know channel 7 have the rights but surely Fremantle could make some kind of deal.

Or just set up some cameras and stream the games themselves. Club is seriously rich. Give something back ya bastards.

Who am I kidding I didn't mean that.

crowd fund me the cost of 3 sausages rolls and a litre of choc milk per match and I'll video each game.

I should warn you though - I'll probably focus on Weller way too much, along with any scantily clad hussies in the crowd

Happy to crowd-fund for scantily clad hussies.

Haha, would definitely pay for that.

I don't understand this either - i've been told by people on this board that the Channel 7 contract prohibits it. Which I find a little hard to believe, if anything it promotes it, as long as they're not live streaming Channel 7 games.

The cost would be negligible, especially given we'd have cameras there anyway. Just hire a director, a few commentators that would probably do it for free and hook it up to the web. Doesn't have to be professional.
