People having a sad about cutting Strnadica. Spare me. He's out there and available, and I'm hearing no chat about anyone looking to pick him up. Why would we want him on our list, especially given his direct competitors in Meek and Jones were contracted. Lobb, Taberner and Cox seems to be overkill already in terms of tall forwards who can ruck. Plus Strnadica seemed to be more developing into a ruck who might rest forward.

I am all for recruiting a highly mobile ruck, and think Jackson should be considered. Someone who can play in the same side as Lobb if necessary and form a strong combination.

Marc Webb has unfortunately yet to utilise my provided thesaurus but managed to cut down his use of 'strong' to just 5 players this week. The lucky winners are Darcy, Banfield, North, Sturt and Bewley.

The favourite word for this week was 'good', appearing 11 times across 7 players. Doubly 'good' were Crowden, Cox, Meek and Darcy - congratulations boys.

Darcy the obvious teacher's pet with 2 x 'good's and a 'strong'. He was the only player to be both 'good' and 'strong'. At the other end of the scale sits Jones, who was the only player not to be described as either.

Proof the club reads big footy. Webb got a serve last week for only using strong and now has doubled his adjectives up to 2.

I concur with Jones he was bog ordinary and didn’t deserve a good nor strong. Darcy prob deserved only a strong and for mine North was the only one that was worthy of both good and strong.

Everyone knows ' good ' and ' strong ' are fine but unless they are coupled to an 'effort' they aren't getting picked this week

Good strong effort .... your in

Had a laugh at some of these. For example Crowden being clean when out in space - yes sure but how often was he out in space? Almost never? So he was pretty much fumbly and wonky instead for most of the game...

More balanced reworked versions would be something like:

Mitch Crowden: Got lots of the ball, particularly contested. Often butchered the ball in traffic and needs to work on getting out of traffic and not always go for the bullet pass.

Sean Darcy: Was on the field most of the game. Rucked well with lots of taps to players, and worked hard into defense and the forward line, but was badly outpointed sometimes in transition.

Bailey Banfield: Played forward for three quarters of the game, getting some contested possession but disposing of the ball poorly. Ran out the game in the midfield.

Tom North: Played midfield and got plenty of the ball and a number of clearances. Disposal was reasonable under pressure, but needs to increase his work rate to be considered an option at the next level.

Brennan Cox: Played in defence with his Justin Bieber imitation hairstyle. Was reasonable but had no significant impact on the game.

Luke Valente: Played his first senior WAFL game. Got a reasonable amount of the ball and was clean under pressure and in congestion. Should look to increase his workload in coming games.

Sam Sturt: Played on a wing and was elegant looking player if not a bit wasteful compared to his normal game. Work rate continues to improve and is reasonable for a player who has not played midfield before. Missed a dead sitter of a goal.

Brett Bewley: Returning from injury, he had a reasonable effort but could not get into space and burnt the ball quite a bit. Needs to work on his spread and run.

Jason Carter: Played on Cameron, was fast and creative. Apart from one error was general clean and effective, and his attack on the ball was impressive.

Tobe Watson: played back in the game and was undersized compared to Jake Waterman. Was reasonable in defense early on but got worn down over time. Rebound from defence was generally acceptable.

Scott Jones: Played in attack; goodness knows why as a tree would have been more effective. Wasteful in front of goal; he nevertheless tried hard and pressure was okay for a player too slow to actually aplly reasonable pressure..

Lloyd Meek: Was on the ground a bit apparently. Couldn't take a mark but ran hard after guys who had moved away from him as a hare compared to rock. Picked up the ball sometimes to be immediately tackled.

Strong write up. Good words. Strong connection between the good words, which worked well together to form good sentences.
