Is Walker injured? 10 minutes into the last and he’s had 2 disposals?
Got cleaned up by Greg Clark very early into the game, assuming its a concussion.

The Peel midfield just gets beaten up every week. They contest, crowd the ball, lose the contest and the get burnt going the other way, rinse and repeat. The Freo players skills being poor more often than not doesnt help because the massive WAFL bodies kill you in the contest when you've got Sweid, Tuia and other smaller bodies going through there.

Cossock is actually genuinely bad if the ball is anywhere near him after the ruck contest.
Dare I say that Peel miss Erasmus. 2024 and first half of 2025 his presence to take the beating and still find the pill. Shows clearly how well he was playing and often with a hard tag.

Subiaco didn't really have much of a tall forward line. Borchet is only 190cm and seemed to be Murphy's match up although it always switches around a bit, but he was too mobile for Murphy. Davies seemed to have Sokol who is even shorter. The only marking power they had was Mayo who did most of it when he was rucking and around the ground. Beat our rucks and beat our key defenders a few times in marking contests and was probably BOG - although i sat out watching much of the 3rd quarter because it was such a struggle to watch that game. (Missed NOD's goal but only one goal each for the quarter - so I might have missed the worst of it). Draper seemed to be matched up on Petruccelle and McDonald probably got the rucks - and got a lot of the ball but turned it over a lot. Made a difference to the Peel forward line when he went there because it helped Nicholls and Tregenza win marking contests, but really McDonald had just many clangers in the forward 50m. Half of the goals in the first half came from free kicks inside 30m.

Had the replay broadcast on in the background from Sport FM for this game. They reckon it was McDonald playing on Sokol. In the quarter I didn't watch, they mentioned Simpson being one of the players doing well.

Bailey Banfield: Started slowly and spent time both in defence in midfield. Had 13 of his 20 disposals in the second half and made his presence felt late as he finished with three inside 50s.
Hugh Davies: Peel’s third-highest disposal-getter with 23 and also grabbed 11 marks. Stood up well in defence under duress, but will be frustrated with himself for getting caught holding the ball late in the fourth quarter with the game on the line.
Josh Draper: Had his moments in defence but was less impressive than some of his teammates in the defensive 50. Ended the game with 12 disposals but just one mark.
Oscar McDonald: One of the Thunder’s best. Finished with 24 disposals and six marks playing mostly as a tall defender, although some of his distribution was iffy early. Was swung forward to start the final quarter and made an impact with a goal while also coming close to nailing another which would have put his side ahead.

Adam Sweid in action for Peel against Subiaco, Anzac Day 2026.
Ollie Murphy: A quiet game defensively and did not catch the eye in either a positive nor negative manner. Recorded seven disposals and two marks.
Tobyn Murray: Had some nice moments on occassion, but was mostly a peripheral figure throughout the game. Had 10 disposals, two tackles and two inside 50s playing at half-forward.
Charlie Nicholls: Kicked Peel’s first goal of the afternoon and grabbed another one late. Was quiet for most of the game but made some impact in the air late up forward as his side chased the game.
Nathan O’Driscoll: Slowly worked his way into the game and after a slow start was one of Peel’s best in the final quarter when he played more of an inside midfield role and helped initiate a fightback. Ended the day with 21 disposals and three inside 50s.
Aiden Riddle: Played as secondary ruck to Toby Cossor. Had 23 hit-outs but did not make as much impact around the ground.

WAFL 2026. Subiaco vs Peel, Anzac Day. Chris Scerri.
Chris Scerri: Was one of Peel’s best, but his impact ebbed and flowed. Had 10 disposals and four inside 50s in the opening term, but just seven touches across the next two terms before finishing with a flourish to end the match with 23 touches and eight inside 50s.
Cooper Simpson: Had just five touches in the opening half across half-back. Finished with 15 disposals and added some drive, but his execution at times left a bit to be desired.
Adam Sweid: Grew in confidence throughout the match and corralled 13 disposals, three tackles and a couple of inside 50s as a half-forward flanker.
Brandon Walker: His afternoon ended early when he was caught in the head shortly after delivering a bullet inside 50. Promptly entered concussion protocols.
Alex Pearce has never been more invested in Fremantle amid Tasmania interest, says Dockers CEO Simon Garlick
Fremantle Dockers coach Justin Longmuir admits it doesn’t feel like the club has won six games in a row
WAFL 2026: Subiaco hold on to beat Peel by one point after giving up five final quarter goals
Toby Whan: Collected 12 touches on the wing and was solid if unspectacular.
Jaren Carr (reserves): Another strong outing in the seconds as he finished with 16 touches, six marks, five inside 50s and two goals.
Leon Kickett (reserves): A quieter game than last week as he had just nine touches, but three of them were inside 50s and he also bagged a goal.
Ryda Luke (reserves): Finished with six disposals, two marks and two tackles.
