Hearing Anne Ferguson speak about the victim - I can't imagine how brave that poor bloke must have been to take on the Catholic Church and one of its most senior members. Sounds like he did an incredible job in his testimony.

Mick Gatto shot a bloke dead with that bloke's own gun and Richter got him off.

Richter couldn't pick holes in the victim's testimony though.

What a brave brave person.

Bolt knows better than the Chief Justice, but luckily wrote both versions of his column last night a la BoJo on Brexit:

Victoria's Court of Appeal has rejected George Pell's appeal against his conviction for sexual abuse. Two of the three judges ruled against him, one for him on the grounds that the verdict was unreasonable.
I am appalled.

As I said last night:

First, Pell's accuser, who remains anonymous, first got the dates wrong about when Pell allegedly attacked him and a friend, after a mass.

Second, the friend, now dead, told him mother he was not in fact attacked.

Then, Pell is supposed to have slipped away from his own processional after Mass, and forced himself on these two choir boys after finding them in the normally busy sacristy.

He’s supposed to have done this when he normally talked to parishioners at the door of the cathedral.

He’s supposed to have done this when the master of ceremonies said he never left his side.

He’s supposed to have done this in a normally very busy room, where the stuff used in the Mass is stored, and with the door open.

He’s supposed to have done this when the servers who follow the archbishop to take his mitre and crozier after the mass and pack them in the sacristy would have been with him all the way, or have gone to the sacristy before him, where they should have seen the boys Pell is supposed to have abused.

He’s supposed to have abused two boys at once – two he didn’t know.

And he he’s abused them by holding onto one, and somehow exposing himself, when

In fact he was dressed in bishop’s robes – wearing two sorts of cassocks or an alb over his trousers, and held in place with a belt.

There’s more improbabilities as well. In short, it makes no logical sense that Pell attacked these boys as described.

Even if Pell could physically have been in the sacristy, in time, and without being seen, and physically done these attacks, how insane would he have to be to do all this, attack two boys he didn’t know, in an open room in a busy cathedral? A man like that, with no past record of abuse?

And for these boys not to say anything to anyone, either.

Pretty funny to read the outcome. But how long until this scumbag can appeal for freedom again?

Oh, look Bolt defending a convicted pedophile.
Rot in hell you sick bastard. (both of them).

Scott Morrison presser in fifteen minutes, wonder what that will tell us.

I'd like to see a similar campaign to withdraw advertisers from the Hun if Bolt continues to refuse to accept the verdict of the court in this manner.

LOL!

Apologies for our Bruce of B !

He is gathering up various legal papers and also involved in a high level dispute about the $brown paper bags$ and why they were not$$$$ enough!

Normal excuses will resume in due time!

Sorry for the delay in transmission!

BruceFromBalnarring could well become the Martin "Sea Kayaker" Hardie of all this.

Scott Morrison is from a denomination that isn’t overly fond of Catholicism. Less likely to be a massive fan of pell as a result, other than the general ring kissing all lib pollies were required to do. Imagine he’ll be happy to cut him loose now. Much more so than an Abbott would have been

Yep, agree.

Morrison is an utterly ruthless campaigner and will take the opportunity to score some political points over internal enemies like Abbott and Joyce.

Looking forward to Archbishop Comensoli adding his voice of support to Pell again too.
Nobody at all will be asked to take ownership of their support for Pell. It's not like he was guilty of a serious crime like being a member of a trade union or campaining against climate change.

Of course Greta Thunberg is mentally disordered, not the bloke defending a paedophile in the face of a jury conviction upheld by the Court of Appeal.
