It’s amazing that a man who was mates with rock spiders, actively worked to protect rock spiders, and was warned off public swimming pools for rock spiderish activities, has been found guilty of being a rock spider. Knock me over with a feather.

I had seen plenty, including the prosecutors closing live. And I’d said that.
Quote from Shannon Deery in the Herald Sun “Those who has followed the trial closely were stunned at the verdict.” Exactly what I said. The sneering continues today.
He has not seen the evidence either.

It's taxpayers money very well spent & sends a message that no matter how powerful you are, you are not above the law.
I doubt the victims & their families would be happy to just put him in a nursing home.
Do you have the same reasoning for all aged criminals, including Ivan Milat...
Good thing no one cares what you think about it, then. Jesus.
So paedophile scum is ok compared to murdering scum to just put in a nursing home rather than jail.Of course not Ivan Milat is a piece of scum and the cancer is going to kill him which he deserves
Like they ever needed an excuse , their whole faith is based on feeling singled outThe best thing about of this, beside justice being served, is watching scumbag Catholics get in a logical twist to act like they are persecuted.

Please....
Because I have a different opinion and not follow others like a blind sheep?
The Herald Sun. Lol. I hear they actually pay Andrew Bolt money to write his garbage for them. Deery hasn't seen the evidence and nor have you. People are shocked that someone can be convincted on the testimony of one person - but the vast majority of people who have actually seen that testimony have found it absolutely compelling. Testimony is evidence. None of the 13 supposed obstacles were actually obstacles. All the evidence points to Pell being guilty. You've just confirmation biased yourself to the point that you disregard out of hand anything that doesn't support the conclusion you came to in advance of the evidence.
It's pathetic, and it would be funny if not for how serious this is and for how it affects other survivors. You are entitled to your opinion (notwithstanding what some have suggested) but you also deserve the ridicule and sneering that's been directed at you.
Yeah, but those who are informed as to what Pell had got up to during his time are satisfied he got what was coming to him. I could be wrong. All those people, including victims and others could be wrong or lying. That elderly gent in the baths who caught Pell naked trying to groom some boys, maybe he lied about it.I had seen plenty, including the prosecutors closing live. And I’d said that.

Blot did not see all the evidence. And frankly I doubt he even read the full transcript. He did see the evidence. And those I have spoken to who have viewed the complainant’s evidence described it as Weinberg did. Embellished and on occasion clearly a concoction.
The only reason I raised Deery is that he described the reaction at the verdict exactly as I did. Those who had followed the case were stunned. It was my anecdotal impression at the time for which I was ridiculed, even today, and yet there he writes of exactly the same impression.
You seem to focus on what Weinberg said.He did see the evidence. And those I have spoken to who have viewed the complainant’s evidence described it as Weinberg did. Embellished and on occasion clearly a concoction.

Why do ignore what the other two judges said??
The legal system is designed so it requires a majority one way or another.
Guess what, the majority said Pell is a peodophile.
Stop cherry picking quotes to suit your peodophile / catholic loving ideals.
Your scribbles in this forum today have been pathetic and are so blinkered.
Blot did not see all the evidence. And frankly I doubt he even read the full transcript.
The complainant's evidence was given in a closed court, so I have grave misgivings about you knowing anyone who "viewed" it.
I can understand you hanging your hat on Weinberg because the two other Court of Appeal judges found him very credible as the quotes in this thread show. So did 12 jurors. And Justice Kidd didn't appear to have major issues with him either.
In essence it came down to one persons word over another. One person with enormous power, influence and funding opposed by a simple unknown victim. The former was the one not believed.
Can't wait for the whole matter to be resolved so the redacted sections on the child abuse RC relating to the convicted peado see the light of day. Unless, of course, the Catholic Church acts to stop it.
The following is a piece worth reading.

'He was a witness of truth': why the judges decided Cardinal George Pell was guilty
Key takeaways from judges’ summary: Chief Justice Anne Ferguson and Justice Chris Maxwell found the jury’s initial verdict was not unreasonable while Justice Mark Weinberg said it should be overturnedwww.theguardian.com
I didn’t say you made it up the presumably was in reference to whether you were male or not. Apologies for inadvertent offence.Yeah I’m sure my aniexty attacks, nightmares , multiple suicide attempts and nightmares have nothing to do with the fact that I was r*ped and abused for years and years as a kid
I made it all up huh? Because why?
But hey when survivors are not even believed after a conviction and appeal what ******* chance do I or others have on here.
fu** off
Looking forward to Archbishop Comensoli adding his voice of support to Pell again too.
Shocking turn of events from the Archbishop, just hours after telling everyone he accepts the court's decision. Says his thoughts and prayers are with the victim, then happily adds his voice of support to the rock spider. Also won't report other rock spiders if they confess to him.
The Catholic church will never learn.
