Nah it’s perfectly reasonable to call the people on here who had the guts to write personal details about their abuse be labeled fakes

No perfectly reasonable, and then there the contestant regurgitation of not answering question and believing that his belief that Pell is innocent is fact without anything to back it up.

He’s clearly here to try and it has worked, how he’s still not thread banned at the very least I got no ****ing idea but it’ll be the last time I share any personal details on here ever ****ing again

I'll spell it out for you.

There are several sexual abuse survivors posting in, and/or reading, this thread. Understandably so, it's a topic of incredible personal interest to them.

Bruce's posts are now simply winding those people up. He's made his point, repeatedly, now he's just traumatizing people.

If he won't back off, out of common decency, he needs to be forced to back off.

Thanks but I think I’ll just a lead out of Craven’s book and just leave the thread

I might have a look once the appeal is heard.

I’ll end up getting banned anyway for my emotional response to the taunting anyway.

No, the survivors of sexual abuse have every right to be here and - given their circumstances - should be given considerable leeway by the mods with their posting.

It's the awful people baiting them, like you and BruceFromBalnarring, who should be forced away from the thread. But too late, the pair of you have achieved your objective, you've hounded two of them out of here.

I also deeply regret sharing my personal history on here.
It was not done to garner any sympathy at all but to, hopefully, give some insight into what acts like this have on the survivor and how important it is for all of us to finally see tangible action against paedophiles in the highest ranks of society.
Again, (if I portrayed myself as a victim, and believe me I did for many, many years), I wouldn't have the strength to post anything here and would still be in my addiction, or worse. Yet still posters continue to push the term 'victim' which is a deliberate power play in my opinion.
There is a reason why every support group deliberately avoids that word. Just as there is a reason why certain people insist on its use. I'll let you work out why.
I offered no personal opinions on the trial with the exception of asking why the survivor would put himself through an ordeal like this and how he had such intimate details of the sacristy.

So far I, others in this thread and the key witness in the Pell trial have been labelled as fakes. (I'm not sure why ANYONE would voluntarily join a group with one of the highest suicide, addiction and mental health issues in the world in an attempt to make a point), but hey it's only an anonymous internet forum, yeah? What harm can come from throwing a few accusations around, eh? After all, it's only a bit of harmless trolling, right?

If only the protagonists could walk a mile in a survivors shoes, they might come to a very, very different conclusion.

I have been accused of not wanting Pell to receive the full due process in law and denying him the right to appeal. This is blatantly absurd and patently false. An accusation which is yet to be withdrawn. If Pell gets off on appeal I'll accept the decision, however I won't be looking forward to the inevitable gloating from his current defenders

We have been endlessly subjected to the Denis Denuto defence where it is 'the vibe' because people KNOW it couldn't have happened.
But when asked why the witness would willingly put himself through such an ordeal we get, "I don't know BUT PELL IS INNOCENT, I JUST KNOW HE IS".
Again, walk a mile in a survivors shoes and see if you would take on the might of the Catholic Church, Richter and the media fan bois.

And this is considered as reasoned and intelligent debate?

I'm not sure if there is anything worse in this world than a person who preys on children for sexual gratification and the ultimate power trip, but I'm very much inclined to believe that blind defenders of such animals are running a very close second.

I indicated earlier that I was done with this thread, and I am from now on as it is just too emotional from me, but I feel that this had to be said.

Thanks again to all the supporters and my fellow survivors, we at least tried.

I’m not baiting anyone in this thread. This a thread for debate and nothing I have posted has been off the reservoir. You’ve emotionally attached yourself to tight to this issue and need to take a step back.
I can see why and I can’t see why (because I haven’t been abused) the survivors have taken taken the posts in this thread to heart. However, it doesn’t mean that they’re right. I’m not saying Pell is innocent of anything. All I’ve ever said is that there wasn’t enough evidence to convict him based on the information given to me by a few sources who are very close to the case.

The only thing I have taken to heart is the insults

All I have ever said was that we don’t know alll the evidence that was present , you and Bruce appear to think your belief and assumptions cover all the evidence that isn’t public

He was convicted that would indicate the evidence meet a stastifactiory level to make that verdict.

Do you really think they moved Ridsdale around so he could enjoy the countryside? Pell and Ridsdale lived together at an Abbey early 70s. That in itself doesn’t show anything but he knew of him, then all these reasons to move him around. You seriously think he didn’t know anything?

He makes some very good points. Renouncing their statehood the best of them. What right does a cult have to diplomatic immunity? Especially one that as Robertson points out has led to abuse of thousands of children.

Canon law, veil of confidentiality, celibacy, he’s spot on.

Only is disagree is I think a lot more were paedophiles to start with and became priests for access and to hide behind the authority of being a priest.

I do. As Pell has said. He understood he had got into some “ homosexual trouble” and it was none of his concern. Pell was only at one of the meetings it was discussed.

I found it odd that the counsel assisting at the RC seemed to be of the view that homosexuality should have caused Pell to turn his mind to potential pedophilia.

I attended St.Alipius Christian Brothers School, Ballarat, in the 70's, General. I know what went on. Do me a favour and don't respond to him any more. Believe me, he is a waste of space.
