A giant of the culture wars in Australia and his supporters/enablers exposed as naked. Don't forget these are the people who appointed themselves as Australia's moral compass' for the last two decades. Finally we see what we've known for years, they stand for nothing more than defending their own whatever the circumstances.

He has always been a profoundly hypocritical man.
This was highlighted in his 1997 claim that the NGV should not spend public money exhibiting what he considered to be the anti-christian Piss Christ, but had absolutely nothing to say about the millions in public money it had spent on a multitude of pro-christian works.

That my ma can still recite the Latin Mass is the reason I've never had anything to do with the Catholic Church beyond admiring it's architecture.

That campaigner should be in a cell with pell. He has no care about the victims but he cares about pell

What I don’t understand about these guys is you don’t have to have a Doctor of Divinity to work out Jesus would unequivocally be with the victims - WTF do they think the constant slagging of the Pharisees in the Gospels mean FFS

I'm not sure if that has been edited but that line of presumption of innocence is misleading.

The CoA will look at the case through the eyes of the jury, and decide whether the jury could have reasonably concluded beyond reasonable doubt that Pell was guilty. So in that sense the presumption of innocence is still alive.

The other appeal grounds are different and it will be up to the Defence to make their case(s).

I'll take the opinion of a prominent defence QC who has lead many appeals through the years over your clearly biased mutterings, if you don't mind.

Despite the spin of child rape apologists about this being a one off for Pell, there's been multiple accusations against him, describing a consistent pattern of alleged behaviour, over many years.

Unless those accusations can be tested in a court of law, he should not face any punishment, and he should be considered not guilty of them.

But the line that the attack he has been convicted of is an absolute one off and so wildly out of the blue as to be unbelievable is simply not true.

Yet for all their power and pulpits, they have lost the big fights - marriage equality, the Royal Commission, the lieks of Pell even being investigated let alone tried.

Its like Dr Martin Luther Bruce McCaveny King said "Buddy's natural arc is long, but it tends towards justice and goal"
