You can actually hit the arrows to see what I’m talking about, which was not the St Pats matter.

But that’s probably not really the point is it. The point is to post as many angry responses, irrespective of their relevance, to drown out the counter argument.

For instance, Giant’s link above doesn’t respond to what I said. At all. It certainly doesn’t evidence his contention. But it doesn’t matter. It’s a counterpoint. With a link. It’s loud noise. The mob wins. And an innocent bloke goes to gaol.
Innocent in your inexpert and uninformed opinion.
My opinion also inexpert and uninformed.
Jury opinion is informed and in their opinion not innocent.
Stop saying he is innocent. He has been proven guilty (appeal pending)

No they don't. That's the whole point the defense was trying to make, it would not be possible for Pell to do what was alleged wearing those robes. It's not like the priest wears that get up all day, it's just for mass.
Lol that's really the defense?

Bloody hell pedo protectors are struggling.

If he can take it off to go to the loo he can take it off to rape someone.

After all, those priests have been protecting each other for decades I'm sure If he was struggling he could of got some help.

The Catholic Church has been found to be a criminal organisation ... there is no denying this.
Bikie gang laws??? Most bikie gangs probably have someone directly affected by this filthy organisation in it.

Close the church down...

But not at the cathedral apparently, it's locked away.
It is meant to be locked away. Don't you think they discussed this at the trial? The principal witness explained how he got the wine and the defence grilled him for hours and yet the jury still believed him. You call it weak evidence, and yet you were not sitting there listening to it. The jurors are the ones to decide if it is weak evidence, not some chump reading about it in newspaper.

Would not need any help. Pell had mastered the art of getting his robes off in a hurry. Practise makes perfect.

I have no doubt the convicted dirty rockspider.

Just ridiculous that these same defenders of Pell, who has been convicted and even admitted that he knew about it going on for 50 years amd did nothing, are the same individuals that bag out Muslims or any immigrants or refugees as rapists etc.

Pathetic but unsurprising giving the history of this cult.

Not possible because robes too heavy to lift? How heavy are they? 10, 12, 16 kg?

The jury had those robes and was able to handle, if it was a such defining point and is central to the case, why the unanimous verdict?.

Guardian covered this today.

Another point worth noting. Not only is the sacristy locked when not in use, the altar wine is always locked away as well. How did the boys get into a locked sacristy and through another locked cupboard to supposedly drink the altar wine? Having just watched the police interview with Pell I am even more amazed this made it to court. Very weak evidence indeed.
You sound like one of those pathetically desperate Catholic women who hang around churches hoping the priest will notice them.
Bet The Thorn Birds is your favourite book.
😅

Juries can get it wrong and the more I read about the evidence the more I am convinced that in this case they are. As others have pointed out, too many coincidental things would have had to have taken place for the scenario put forward to have happened. I am baffled as to how the jury could have convicted in this case.

I want to see every pedophile priest behind bars but I don't want to see an innocent man put away just because there are many others that have done these vile acts. That does not help the cause one iota.

Lol, that's hilarious :D FWIW I don't like Pell at all.

Edit: On a serious note I, like many who were raised Catholic, have been effected by this abhorrent, vile and criminal behavior that has taken place. Believe me I want all the pedophiles locked away as I have had too many people I know affected by this and some are no longer here because of it. But locking up someone on dubious evidence is not right and I can't support that. Pretty horrified by the lynch mob mentality being displayed ITT.

Independent verification (impossible in most sexual abuse cases) is where you can, through the production of a passport or some other document, prove you were not at a place you were alleged to be at.

Or it’s video footage.

Or it’s DNA.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

That’s the most stupidest thing I’ve ever read regarding child abuse

All of these points are covered in a trail and the defence team would had been experienced enough to cover these issues .

Lol reading the evidence that’s has been leaked and knowing the entire case and the arguments and responses put forth is an entirely different matter.

The witness was grilled for over a day, and the story held up and the evidence was proven to be stratificatory enough for a guilty verdict (appeal pending)

Deal with it

Thoughts and prayers.

I can't continue with this bullshit.
The lengths that the current Pell defenders are going to is making me, quite literally, physically ill.
I'm done.
Don’t blame you

It’s ammussing as every point put forth is just going around and around

They just can’t understand that any issues they have would had been well covered in the trial and argued on.

Hope you enjoy your game tomorrow and take it easy

"At the end of the retrial the jury did not rush to judgement. If they really wanted to "get Pell" as some have claimed, as soon as the evidence was completed they could gathered in the jury room, counted to ten, marched back into court and delivered their verdict.
Instead they took three and a half days to deliberate. Hardly a rush to judgement. And all 12 of them found him guilty on all charges."

Hard to say, there may have been 10-2 decision at first and may have taken three hours to convince one of the jurors.

I know the crime as alleged is impossible. I therefore refuse to acknowledge that he is anything but innocent of the crime.

He is innocent.

And we continue to point out that your belief doesn’t match the evidence and conviction.

You’re entitled to your views, as pathetic as it is.

So you claim to know better than the court. You are unbelievably arrogant.
