Isn’t that the point Weinberg was making though? And I’m continuing this not to win but because I’m enjoying the discussion. Was Weinberg not making the point that it was more than just preferring one bit of evidence to another? Does there not need to be some matter to Portelli’s discredit such that his evidence can be discounted entirely?

My flaw GJ is that I take what people post in good faith after they have shown that they are genuine. I don't have to agree with someones positions to have that good faith. When someone who I take in good faith posts that something did happen my expectation is that they know it did happen or why would they post it. Gullible is the better word to describe me.

Pell at best (at the very best) is a sick pervert, the Church has been exposed for its hypocrisy and once the current generation of indoctrinated punters die, the future is bleak. Sure it can run its schools and hospitals but as for moral guidance and opinion - that ship has sailed and as cases ramp up in the civil jurisdiction it will sail closer financially to where it sits morally and ethically...bankrupt!!
