How many times has Pendles used the good bloke - never been suspended before - defence.
Used the good bloke” get out clause when he punched Lachie Neale in the stomach with an open hand off the ball in 2024. Was fined and not suspended.

Yep a lot of misleading reporting of this incident so far. He was previouly fined by the MRO for that whack on Lachie Neil.

He can't be claiming the choir boy defence.

It’ll be an interesting test case of whether you can just continue to use the same good bloke / haven’t been suspended before but played a lot of games defence multiple times to get out of suspensions.

I’m sure AFL counsel has been briefed to just let this one through to the keeper.

Does this mean good bloke time sniper Charlie Cameron can never be banned because he has played a lot of games and never been suspended.

If the AFL were serious about the game he'd get a week, but we all know the AFL aren't serious about it, so he'll get it downgraded to a fine.

Yeah, yeah, Ablett Jnr got off at a similar stage of his career - doesn't mean we need to keep making the same mistakes for 'good blokes'.

Just enforce the rules evenly.

Gerard Whateley was on his high horse about how we "owe it" to Scott Pendlebury to get him off the charge.

Maybe the AFL can focus on umpires enforcing the rules of the game evenly.

Hypocrite. Your own Charlie Cameron used it effectively to get off his penalty a couple of years ago. His offence was far more egregious than Pendle’s very soft bump.

Charlie Cameron is a good bloke though. And just did a tackle which was ruled a quality tackle.

He’s not punching and shoulder charging people off ball like Thuglebury.

Charlie seems nice enough but Pendles is 38 i am pretty sure it was more clumsily execution rather than anything malicious

The attack to the head was brutal and could have dislodged a tooth. Surely, it's worth 23 weeks. :D:D

Regardless of Pendles or Toby Greene I don't think it is worth a week. To me that's a football accident Woz wasn't lined up from miles out, they both had eyes for the ball ad Pendles braced Woz didn't.
