Gerard Whateley was on his high horse about how we "owe it" to Scott Pendlebury to get him off the charge. It’ll be an interesting test case of whether you can just continue to use the same good bloke / haven’t been suspended before but played a lot of games defence multiple times to get out of suspensions.
I’m sure AFL counsel has been briefed to just let this one through to the keeper.
Does this mean good bloke time sniper Charlie Cameron can never be banned because he has played a lot of games and never been suspended.

If the AFL were serious about the game he'd get a week, but we all know the AFL aren't serious about it, so he'll get it downgraded to a fine.
Yeah, yeah, Ablett Jnr got off at a similar stage of his career - doesn't mean we need to keep making the same mistakes for 'good blokes'.
Just enforce the rules evenly.

Agree wholeheartedlyMaybe the AFL can focus on umpires enforcing the rules of the game evenly.

Charlie seems nice enough but Pendles is 38 i am pretty sure it was more clumsily execution rather than anything maliciousCharlie Cameron is a good bloke though. And just did a tackle which was ruled a quality tackle.
He’s not punching and shoulder charging people off ball like Thuglebury.
