Was playing across half forward for the first month of footy this year, but the last 2 -3 weeks he has been back where he belongs....and has thrived.

I didn't realise how much we missed his clever handballs under pressure from stoppages to set other players up, i don't think its any coincidence that our midfield has looked much better in recent weeks since Pendles has been in there again.

Makes you wonder what the hell he was doing up there in the first place. Mick is lauded as a great tactical coach but he sure has some brain farts sometimes regarding player positioning.

All good.

It's a long season...will probably spend some in the forward line again later in the season and hopefully soreness in round 20/21...brain farts...lol. Player management, good.

29 possies, 14 contested, 7 tackles & 5 clearances

Those are the kind of stats you love to see from a midfielder. He was the catalyst for our 4th quarter shellacking.

It was interesting to see Beams play as a permanent forward flanker yesterday.

Played more midfield then the week previsous, where be was almost a small chf

in any case hff is basically midfield anyway

... and a goal, you can't forget the goal. Speaking of goals, Pendlebury is averaging one a game. :thumbsu:

Think it has more to do with O'Bree being out the last few weeks that Pendles is in the midfield.

When O'Bree and Ball are in the same team, according to MM, Pendles has no place in the midfield and has to play on the HFF.

With O'Bree out, Pendles moves to his rightful place in the midfield.

Basically you can't have the three (Ball, O'Bree and Pendlebury) in the same team for mine, and going by that logic, I will take Ball and Pendlebury.

In which case, O'Bree might have done his dash. Pendles by a (long) street. The way he got us up and running again yesterday was something Cheesy just isn't capable of.
