Went back and took responsibility when it was needed. Good game as captain.

But: that kick-in attempt almost backfired very badly.
I think everyone knew what he was thinking by getting everyone to run to the left, leaving swanny (i think) running on the right. So did the essendon defenders, so pendles kicked to a 3-on-1, which led straight to a return inside 50 (which luckily the bombers screwed up).

Still, we were having trouble getting it out, so i guess it was worth a shot

Yeah that kick-in was average, but he mopped it up himself with a brilliant bit of play that put us forward.

As I said in the post game thread, he wasn't as damaging as he can be but he took a huge step forward with his captaincy today. Was all about the 1%ers when we needed them most... What a superstar he has become.
