Anyway, 2-4 week injury it sounds like, and don't tell me when he went down you weren't thinking that would be a good result.

Geez 4-6 is a bit of overkill! he will be right. Imagine how the GC rookie would of felt if he rubbed out the brownlow favourite and arguably the best player in the league for the season.

The claim was that a medical person had told SEN 4-6 weeks was the normal healing period for this injury.

For anyone that needs further proof Brownlow betting hasn't been suspended. Betting agencies don't take risks on this sort of stuff so if there was any chance of him being out so long betting would have been suspended.

Reminds me of an article I read from one of the HS geniuses a couple of months ago, 'Stevo'. Said our depth was terrible and would prevent us from being a good side this year.

The Hawks' top 10-15 may not be as good as Collingwood, but clearly they run deeper ... and than can be a massive factor in September.

Yes, players may bob up during the year, but right now at Collingwood there can only be 24 reliable soldiers you would feel comfortable taking into the ultimate battle.

He needs two to three of his young players - and Peter Yagmoor, Luke Rounds and Jarrod Witts are likely suspects - to jump out of the box.

Otherwise, if a portion of the top end gets wounded in what will be a brutal season, year one in the hot seat for the Buckley might get a lot hotter than some pundits think.

I've got a similar injury that only happened last week, I've been doing my research on the shin, seeing physio's etc and I'm looking at 4-6 weeks and my injury is probably less serious then Pendles.

The worst thing he could to is start too early and develop stress fractures of the tibia/shin splints..
