I've got a similar injury that only happened last week, I've been doing my research on the shin, seeing physio's etc and I'm looking at 4-6 weeks and my injury is probably less serious then Pendles.

The worst thing he could to is start too early and develop stress fractures of the tibia/shin splints..

Until you know how severe the crack is (which we obviously don't and im assuming no one does apart from CFC) it's hard to say. If its the most minor of cracks he could be back for the game against Melbourne really, but i doubt we'll risk him. If its minor he would be back by west coast, but anything more serious as people have said including Barrett, it could very well be 4-6 weeks.

any chance this minor 'crack' has been there for some time, and only the scan picked it up ? whether the knee tweak aggravated it or not ?

We are getting Toovey, Shaw, Swan and Tarrant this week with Reid and Jolly as maybes. We will be fine and Pendles will only miss one game. People saying we cant win the flag becuase of injuries are dumb becuase we have up to 6 players that are in our best 22 that could all play this week if they are required.

While Ball, Krak, Caff and Keeffe (most importantly Ball) may be out for the year we have shown that we can cover them more than adequately. In the second half yesterday we had no Ball, Swan, Pendles or Jolly in the midfied, probably our first-choice starting 4 and we tore them apart.

Hopefully Pendles only misses one and all will be good

Was thinking this today that all the above plus didak,beams and wellers even have all missed games...some have missed significant amounts..be interesting to know how many games our best 22 have missed.

Most minor fractures due to collisions would uually take the average pleb 4-5 weeks. But for elite athletes who have the resources they do, 3 weeks should be about right.
