Jokes is jokes but Fos's creed doesn't mention 'doing illegal things to win flags'. Technicalities about sneakily rotating VP and President roles notwithstanding. For some reason the 'not an explicitly banned substance at the time' argument used by some Essendope-scandal apologists springs to mind here. eccchhhhh ;)
It’s not illegal in Australia.
It’s not illegal in the US if the courts accept it.
So play on.

Port Premiers 2029-2033!

Daniel Norton's entire Linkedin presence is based around him doing exactly that lol.

And then claiming it as some sort huge coup for the club. Bizarre.

Pretty sure Mark Cavendish would use the jumper we gave him recently to clean grease off his bike chain.

He is one that is rarely spoken about here but if Koch is to be jettisoned to the moon, he needs to be sent to Pluto!

Yeah footy is heaps different which is why we've adopted absolutely nothing from other major professional sports in the last 30 years.

For example the next time you go to a Port game you'll see tens of thousands of people standing up holding their scarves in the air while singing a song, something completely new that Aussie Rules fans invented.
AFL has always considered the club bigger than the individual/player. Names on guernseys goes against that.

And yet names of sponsors - multiple sponsors is OK? A step many US professional sports haven't taken.

And the AFL has sold the branding of grounds and the league itself out to sponsors including gambling companies.

Nah. That's just BS.

The real truth is the AFL and clubs would get zero revenue from using valuable jumper real estate to print the names of players.

Rubbish the VFL/AFL and other leagues wanted to sell Records/Budgets etc. It was a commercial thing. They sold off the Record to the SEN group about 5 years ago so they don't have that excuse an more.

As Garry Linnell said a couple of decades ago - Its always about the doh, when you look at why AFL does things.

Of course it would, but footy authorities had very blinkered views back when buying and wearing a guernsey to a game wasn't a thing. They only saw the $$$ associated with selling their publications, not the clubs making money from selling guernsies. And they have just stuck with tradition. The clubs should really be forcing the AFL to change things.

Why wasn’t Xi Jinping presented with one in 2017?
The Chinese Premier Li attended the Port v Swans game with then PM Turnbull in 2017 and visited the Port change rooms where he was presented with a Port scarf, which he wore while watching the game - matching the teal tie he wore for the occasion.

China is Australia and South Australia's largest and most important trading partner of course.
