Not worried at all, even with Murphy in the side.
Vs bulldogs biggest game for a long time - tick
Vs Gold Coast massively imortant game - tick
Vs hawthorn biggest game for the year - tick
Vs Collingwood massive game -
We’ve met all the challenges head on so far, tonight will be no different.

Going along tonight, biggest game my 8yo will have ever seen. Being there to see us beat "the team to beat" no matter how bad they're travelling would be awesome. Hopefully the boys can get the Oval rocking like that Jenkins game in 16/17(?) where the crowd was so loud they didn't hear the siren.

People talking about Collingwood losing risks their top 4 chances. It risks way more the that!

Their finals spot is not a lock, and % isn't on their side either.

Make no mistake, this is a massive pressure game for the Pies. They are risking going into the final round with the biggest in-season choke of all time on their shoulders.

You don’t wait until the last couple of games of the year before you start taking the finals seriously. They lost in recent weeks because they couldn’t match it with their opponents. Our best can match their best. It’s on us to take this game seriously which I believe we will.

Interesting game for both teams.

For Crows, result doesn’t really matter. We should finish first or second regardless, and it almost looks like it might be more beneficial to finish second for an easier week 1 opponent - but that’s far from given. Most important is belief and get the Collingwood hoodoo off our back. Lose, and we may never think we can beat them, which isn’t great if we meet them a few weeks later.

For Collingwood, a loss here would almost be season over. Very possible to miss top 4 and I don’t think they can turn their form around. Win, and they’re back to beating a contender at home and can build for their run to the flag.

Either way, hope it’s going to be a great game.

Yeah I think a lot of us might be understating how big of a game this is for Collingwood. They will be desperate to win this. The only team they've beaten in the last 5 weeks is Richmond. A win tonight and things aren't quite as bad as they seem for them.

For us, sure it might be better to lose, but that assumes results going the way we expect which has been a fool's game all year.

Regardless of who we play in the QF, I still think the confidence and belief we get from beating Collingwood does more for our finals chances than dodging certain teams. Our week 1 matchup is going to be tough regardless. So get the win on the board and go into September flying.

Geeze mate, now you have shamed me...if I don't get up at 2:30 a.m., then GreyCrow and feenix67 will make fun of me, call me soft and ask that I be muted for a month.

😞
Not sure about feenix67 but GreyCrow will be asleep by half-time anyway (me too, probly; oldness).
Sleep well, mate; it's what replays are for.

Rankine to star today, spending more time midfield. He likes playing these clowns.
I just hope someone at the club is telling him to bounce it every 10m. The umps love Collingwood and hate Rankine taking the game on, it's a dangerous mix.

Should be a cracker of a game. We historically match up well with the pies, but they always seem to get the better of us. I take comfort in the fact that even in recent years when playing them away it’s not been a blowout. It’s just one of those games that I can’t seem to feel confident about.

Id have hoped we put the complacency out the window after last week.
I don't know that focussed determination and drive-to-win (the opposite of complacency) can be switched back on.
Last week was a bad sign for the last game against NM too.

Nicks doesn't strike me as a fire-them-up kinda Coach. More likely he'll tell them to go out and play "our" game and I fear that the Crows won't be switched on from the start.
I hope I'm wrong.

Haha. I was there. I think, that was Charlie’s “Moonwalk”night??

I haven’t been more relaxed before a home game all year. Top 2 pretty much locked away regardless. Finishing second arguably an even better result. Not at full strength (so not showing our full hand). Win, lose. Who cares.
Just going to enjoy a carefree night at the footy. Happy days.
