The Stephen Jurica one took me by surprise. Good on him. His name often comes up when talking to my Richmond supporter mates about some of the non-entities they had running around in the late 90s. Justin Plapp generally gets a run too.

Adrian McAdam went on to be decent cricketer (took 3fer for the NT Chief Minister's XI vs Bangladesh) in 2003 after his stunning but brief AFL career with North Melbourne.

Ragnor lothbrook.. spent a year or 2 on the st kilda rookie list before ruling Denmark & spawned sons who took most of England for themselves, raping & pillaging half of Europe.
yeah surprised this one didn't make it, wasn't he offered a senior deal with St Kilda but broke his leg?

shocking TV show though, written by children.

Think I mentioned it in the last thread, but Darren Lockyer in his younger years was a very good Aussie Rules Player. Both father and younger brother played professionally in Brisbane. Only stopped and took up rugby league due to geographical reasons.

Another rugby league one is Greg Bretnall, who played for Canterbury-Bankstown and also for NSW and Australia in rugby league, played Teal Cup for NSW before switching to Rugby League.

Ex Barwon Prison governor who mysteriously disappeared in the Vic High Country, rumoured to have info linked to info related to Carl Williams murder, David Prideaux played VFA for Preston.

Underbelly times linked crook Michael 'Eyes' Pastras who comically turned up at Lewis Moran's door with a massive bag of a cash as a raid was going on played for Brunswick, as did his follow crook brother Savas.

Tony Mokbel played some u/19s for Brunny too, could play.

Also genuinely surprised that Bruce Macavaney played footy at any level.

His demeanor must have been somewhat like Tom Swift.

This has to be a lie. Bruce would've been the little gimp that got a quarter a game at back pocket.

then commentated his own games,

'ball out of the middle for 'klemzig?' - get it forward - mark taken by number 15 who was unsighted all day but is lining up for number 6 this quarter. and it sails over mcavaney on the mark - 'you really do feel like his team mates hate this little weirdos guts don't you?'

Ian Herman played for Carlton and Richmond, and has a successful career in senior management at accounting firms such as Arthur Andersen, William Buck and Grant Thornton.

Thanks Ian, hope you enjoyed accounting

Ryan Brabazon, who played about three games in three years on the Sydney Swans list now spends his life in France and travels as a photographer. Trendy sort of fella. Used to regularly get Jessie Andrews to his place in Sydney.

Thanks Ryan, France is lovely

You two probably don’t quite fit the “famous” billing though...

Bruce McAvaney played for Woodville’s Under 19s in the SANFL in 1972. Craig Bradley’s father, Lionel was the coach and a 8 year old Craig Bradley was the mascot!

1997 Talking Footy clip with Craig Bradley reminiscing about McAvaney's playing days for the Woodville under 19s.
