Sure as shit we'll scrape a 2 point win against the Tigers this week.

I’m not super bothered if we do, I think we’re in the bottom half dozen sides, our percentage says that’s where we’re at, and aside from the 2 times we play Richmond I’m not sure we’d start favourite in any of the rest of our games this season.

I’d like to see us fight out games against sides around our level and avoid racking up blowout losses, finishing with a top 5 pick and whenever Melbourne finishes (also guessing it’ll be well inside the top 10 for their pick) is a pretty good outcome.

Plus STK aren’t amazing and we have their second, and the two academy smalls look to be competitive sorts that suit the kind of players we want.

Well it is the end result of the why are we shit thread. Being shit equals crap percentage because you lose games during the year by big margins. It is not rocket surgery.

What I will say is, one reason I felt quite good with where we were going in 2021 was our good percentage (109.1; our best since 2003, which is an absolute indictment but still).

Lots of narrow losses, mostly to sides above us, and lots of comfortable wins against sides below.

yep - Worsfold and Rutten at least gave us one season of false hope each, Brad hasnt even managed that!

What I will say is, one reason I felt quite good with where we were going in 2021 was our good percentage (109.1; our best since 2003, which is an absolute indictment but still).

And the two heavy losses in 2021 were in the first 5 rounds. It was our best year since 2014. We've only won above 50 once since 2021 and that was the 59 point win vs Hawthorn round 1 2023. West Coast is the only club that hasn't managed that in that timeframe.
