Just a little snap shot from our tour of the Gabba gym at the last night.

Very interesting.

What's the 3rd one down? Can't make it out.

I just noticed, Luey is the third fastest at the club!?!?!:eek::eek::eek:

HOLY $HIT!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

9 minutes 33 for a 3 km. That is elite.

Shaun Hart you superstar!! That record will take a while to break

Harding is racking them up, a reason why we should persist with him. Interesting that Tippett is 2nd in vertical jump. Impressed at Luenbergers running skills, but I wasn't very surprised. ;)

Very interesting that Merrett holds the records for the sprints. With all the guys that have gone through it is interesting that he holds the record.

The other thing which is surprising is chin up record is so low. Is this with a weight between the knees perhaps.

Great to see Harding doing so well. Surprising that he does so well with the weights. I would have thought a few of the older guys would be puting up the numbers there.

Merrett had the fastest speed recorded with the GPS on Saturday night as well. Just watched the game in full and it amazed me how quick he is for a big man.

Brennan's draft camp results

At the 2002 National AFL Draft Camp he recorded outstanding results, ranking number one in speed over five, 10 and 20 metres (2.83sec for 20 metres) while his measured leap was 102cm - the average being 60cm.

It probably shouldn't be that amazing really.

It's been evident since he's been playing FB that he's got terrific closing speed.....or how else would he be able to so consistently get that big spoiling fist in?

I'm disappointed though, that the Umps are still paying frees against him basically on suspicion and it happened again in the Coll game........perfectly good spoil on a Pies forward that the Ump decided "had" to be a free :thumbsd:

The upside is that Matthews has stuck with him.

As his reputation grows, so will his respect from the Umps.

I'd imagine alot of those records were set in 01-03 too, so as the younger players progress and develop, we'll get a good read on where we are at as a team in our development on the mystical premiership clock.

Can anyone remember Rusca's jumping ability? I didn't catch much of him live when he was at the club... He must have done alright.

Very interesting stats
Luke Power can bench press 125Kg for a little man that explains it.
Luke Power = ball of muscle

Looks like we've got some Stars in here -

Jono Brown - Bench Press: 157.5

Shaun Hart - 3km Time Trial: 9:33

Simon Black - Beep Test: 15.11

Jared Brennan - Running Vertical jump: 102cm

Alex “with his blond hair and gravity defying aerodynamics” Ruscuklic??

In 108 games with Fitzroy Alex Ruscuklic amassed 189 goals and was the club’s top goalkicker in 1970 with 49. He was also Fitzroy’s leading vote recipient in the 1971 Brownlow Medal with 16, just 5 shy of eventual winner Ian Stewart.

Nah, far to young to remember him... :o

Am assuming it would be "bench" as the one below it is a ratio of bench to body weight.

Ahh, thanks for that Belgian.

So, with the Bench pulls being blank, would i be right to assume that the boys probably don't do them anymore?

Also, you'd have to say that Harding is a keeper. You can see he trains hard and he'll bust onto the AFL scene one day and just dominate. I remember some ppl comparing him to Kerr earlier in the year, but i always thought Scott is probably a bit light to be compared with him. Well, that might change over the next few years with the way he's training.

Nah they'd be talking about Shannon Rusca.

Off the top of the head:

- Very quick NT wilo-the-wisp type.
- 2000-2001ish era
- Reckon he played a couple of games but didn't get a lot of opportunity
- Traded to the Dogs about 2002
- Don't think he played a game from them
- Think he might have done ok in 2000 GF day sprint

Yeah, I remember watching him run around but he wasn't highly impressive.

But at least his name is still up on that board...
