Exact same result as the one I did 5 months ago (even though I reckon I've changed a little since then).

And I think the same one as I did 2 years ago as well, I got INFP or INFJ
I got the same INFP-T result, but my percentages results were largely different

These sort of things are useful for people who don't know you. I'm not sure the results should tell you anything that you don't know about yourself already.

True but the report is interesting to read and while I agree that most things you already know about yourself there are a few sentences where you go, Yh nah now I think about it that's true.

Similarly some of the things are completely off the mark.

I did the mbti before too and the test result came back that there was no category for a person like me :(

One problem with these is that self assessment can be hard. Many people fall into the trap of clicking what they would like to be, rather than what they actually are. I think the best method is to do the test with another person that knows you quite well; a family member, best friend etc, and try to come to a consensus on each question.

FWIW, I've done a few of the mbti test and have been labelled as INFP, INTP and INFJ.

Also a hippy chick, INFP-T. Different percentages though, bya long way. I'm a self-absorbed neurotic mess. My psychologist would agree with that.
Introverted 73%
Intuitive 30% (that's down to laziness more than anything I suspect)
Feeling 10% (really? I guess right now, that's probably true, I'm at another low point of my depression)
Prospecting 55%
Turbulent 86% (yeah, that seems right - I'm totally ****ed up and have been for the least year or so)

Some of the descriptions are really not me though.

While they may be perceived as calm, reserved, or even shy, INFPs have an inner flame and passion that can truly shine.
Must be a long way in, I've never found it.

Being a part of the Diplomat (NF) personality group, INFPs are guided by their principles, rather than by logic (Analysts), excitement (Explorers), or practicality (Sentinels).
Probably true, though I like to think I'm more of an analyst.

Unlike their Extraverted cousins though, INFPs will focus their attention on just a few people, a single worthy cause – spread too thinly, they’ll run out of energy, and even become dejected and overwhelmed by all the bad in the world that they can’t fix. This is a sad sight for INFPs’ friends, who will come to depend on their rosy outlook.
Yes, and then, no. Depending on my rosy outlook will send you to oblivion. The last time I had a rosy outlook on anything was when I fell into rose bush and cut my face up on the thorns.

Left unchecked, INFPs may start to lose touch, withdrawing into "hermit mode"
OK. They nailed one.

Under the Romantic Relationships
Love All, Trust a Few, Do Wrong to None
Except the "love" bit.

And friendships
The true friends of people with the INFP personality type tend to be few and far between, but those that make the cut are often friends for life.
Well, I have no friends, but that might not be quite what they are saying.

Work
Where INFPs will not thrive is in a high-stress, team-heavy, busy environment that burdens them with bureaucracy and tedium.
Well, I'm getting out for other reasons - more to do with the tendency to overblow things beyond all proportion; but it seems getting out is good - except my skillset inevitably leads to more of the same tedium.

INFPs feel most comfortable among colleagues
True, but even they make me uncomfortable. Did I mention being a neurotic mess.

The Kiersey one put me down as an Idealist. Probably true in some ways.

Highly ethical in their actions, Idealists hold themselves to a strict standard of personal integrity. They must be true to themselves and to others, and they can be quite hard on themselves when they are dishonest, or when they are false or insincere. More often, however, Idealists are the very soul of kindness.
That bit it is true. The "kindness" bit is not.

The thing with these tests, is they will be effected by things like depression. They are describing you when things are all going smoothly. It may also be one reason for your depression that you haven't found that thing that brings out your inner passion, and if you do, you may be a very different person.

This is why my preference is that people just read up on the four temperaments. They are different enough that it is normally fairly easy to pick which one you are without the need for a test.

I suspect the test may be a bit too favourable to certain characteristics, as I find it difficult to believe there are this many INFPs running around.
I dunno. The description fits me to a tee.

Even the ones Howard LittleJohn said didn't describe him described me.

I think I had a 10% introvert which is probably right as I always considered myself an introvert capable of being an extrovert.

Funnily enough, INFP tend to describe more creative types which I didn't think was me as I don't sing act draw dance etc. but in the last month have found something to focus my creative energy towards.

It is true, and if I wasn't at such a low ebb some of it may have come out differently. The broad trend is there though, and some of the description doesn't suit me. That's not a criticism of the test, every person will fall into a different place in any of the categories and its going to be a "reasonableness of fit".
A bit like political parties, you might fit with a lot of you favoured party's positions but unless you're in parliament and told what to pretend to think you won't agree with 100%.
