This month is the month that will put our early season success into perspective. We have already been brought back to earth with a 76 point thud with the Bulldogs next week, Freo and GWS following.

I'm an optimist so I'm predicting to beat Freo and the Dogs.

What's your prediction for the next three games? What about for the season after the Crows game?

I'm not sure the logical thinking behind beating the Western Bulldogs at Etihad... They won the flag year, generally play very there and we've done neither of those things.

Can only see us beating Freo... but we mightn't have a ruckman, so we could potentially lose all three.

Dogs had been playing average up until Fri , they are back in form now from the looks of things .

Dogs will be tough

We play as well at etihad as Tiger71 does on grindr..... No matter how good a game we talk, we always end up on out knees and taking it up the .....

If we beat the Dogs and Freo I would be stoked.....
The loss to Adelaide showed that we are far from top four quality.
We haven't beaten anyone that good but we have won games that the old Richmond would loose.
If anyone told me at the start of the year that we would be 5-1 I would have taken that on any day of the week.

Dogs are a strong them when they have something to play for such as the finals last year. They need a target and a reason to fight. They had one last week. Against Richmond they may just not come to play. Last year we troubled them with a side consisting of a lot of young quick players that rebounded out of defense and moved the ball into our forwardline quickly. Sound familiar? This year that style of play is our blueprint and we have the players to achieve it, especially in our forwardline.

If we can bring the intent around stoppages, tackle/pressure/force turnovers - then I think we will win the Dogs game and win it easily. Just hope Nank is playing......

We were beaten by Adelaide when they figured out that Daniel Rioli was our second tall marking option. They took 125 marks to 58. 25 contested marks to 14. 21 marks inside 50 to 9. We were doomed the moment the Selection Committee dropped Elton. As limited as he is, he doesn't let his opponent dominate him in marking contests - something 22 Tigers from the weekend can't claim.

None of the teams coming are as good in the air as Adelaide, but they are all pretty handy. If the Selection Committee persist with playing a poorly balanced team, we'll get flogged in all of those games. They have form for making a mistake and sticking to it. As I noted, watching Steve Morris looking embarrassing inside forward 50. Again.

Sorry for the intrusion but nothing to play for? Lol.

Last game and a half says we are starting to get going this year. If we play anything like friday night and kick a bit better we win this well enough

Clearly the game yesterday wasn't enough of a wake up call for those on here who think barely beating average-poor teams is an achievement. We are a class below both gws and dogs and will get mauled accordingly, especially against gws who has tall quality all over the park. Free won't go down easy either.

Against the good teams you step up. Last year you were almost beaten by a second rate Richmond side that was languishing down the bottom of the ladder. We were not a good team. The difference was the speed. You have struggled this year against teams who play direct and kick more than they handball. You play your best football against teams that handball their way out of stoppages where you create turnovers. We are not a team that does this.

The game will be won and loss across our half forward. We will kick it long into our forwardline. If you can intercept the ball in the air and move it out quickly then the game is yours. Having another tall to act as a target will be crucial for us even if they don't mark the ball.

I think you will be definite and clear favourites but this is not a finals game so your intent is not the same. Our style of play will bother you far more this year than last. It will all come down to intent.

Yeah.. GWS don't kick long to their big forwards. You're clutching at straws.

Reality is the pressure brought in the last game and a half is too much for Richmond to handle.. we know the next 4 will set up our season, it will not be taken lightly

Depends, if they approach the game the same as your posters are (with the four points booked), i think we will be taken very lightly by your guys

You have form against us, and we play like shit at etihad. Of course the dogs think this will be a walk in the park

Well it shouldn't and what some people think on some football forum means nothing to the team

Knew we wouldn't beat the Crows, and fairly certain we can't beat the Dogs and GWS. Should/will beat Freo though, then have the bombers and north after the GWS game. Could very easily (hopefully) be 9-3 going into the bye.

If we can keep within 60 points of the Dogs and GWS we will have done OK. Thought the same of Adelaide and was ecstatic at 1/4 time. You know the rest. We don't have the cohesion for long enough periods. Freo won't be a walk in the park, but it is over here at the G so maybe we will select a side capable.

I'm not sure if it was the pressure as much as the intercept marks. We struggled to bring the ball down for our crumbing forwards to use. We didn't have enough marking forwards and as a result the ball speed out of our F50 faster than it went in. Pressure around the stoppages certainly played a part but in the end it was the breakdown in our forward structure that undermined our work in close.

The Dogs also struggled with pressure GWS placed on them are were very lucky to come as close as they did in the end. I wouldn't be surprized if the Dogs miss the eight this year given the amount of teams that now play a similar style to them but with better players. I think they will finish in a similar spot as they did last year but pressure around the contest which surprised some many teams last year is no longer a tactic that will win you a flag alone. I was as excited as anyone you sneaked a flag against the odds so enjoy one more premiership than we've had in the last 30 years....but don't expect a repeat anytime soon.

Well we now have no ruck, so your players will be taking this to the bank absolutely

Id be getting on the dogs before the price plummets any further

Every team has deluded supporters but you take the cake. Dogs lucky they got so close to GWS? My god buddy get your head checked you have had too many falls
