Every team has deluded supporters but you take the cake. Dogs lucky they got so close to GWS? My god buddy get your head checked you have had too many falls

Sorry if my rational arguments were a little reasonable too for you. You will struggle this year. No need to get personal or upset. Just stating the obvious.

In terms of our game, I think you will beat us now with Nank. He's another midfielder around stoppages and a big reason we have been so successful to date. We may still surprise but we're up against it now. If you see us add another ruck and a tall forward then I still have hope. We'll be fired up to make amends after our poor showing where the Doggies will be looking for a quick kill.

Lol.

I can't take you seriously. We are 3rd favourite for the flag and experts have said even Geelong is a rung below us.

At the end of the day we are a big show for top 4. Premiership or not, we won one last year and will be around for years because the team is young. You probably haven't seen one in your lifetime.. maybe not even finals

Your armchair opinion means didly squat

School children trolling from opposition clubs aside, this thread is supposed to be discussing how we re-calibrate our perspective after a start that was too good to be true – and wasn’t.

The facts are that we have 5 wins in the bank and a relatively easy draw. We don’t have to beat anyone good to play finals from here. If we go through the draw and put an L next to every team with a sniff, we still get to 12 wins. We can lose to the Saints twice, Port, Sydney and the Dockers once and still get there.

Bulldogs - L
Dockers - W
Giants - L
Bombers - W
Kangaroos - W

Swans – L (they will turn the ship around at some point)
Blues - W
Power - L
Saints - L
Lions - W
Giants - L
Suns - W
Hawks – W

Cats - L
Dockers - L
Saints – L

Personally, I’d rather finish 9th with wins against Geelong, Dogs and GWS than play finals after capitalising on a soft draw.

Looking at that. We play half decently and we make finals. Maybe top 4 if we do well.

We can beat the Doggies, but with no AFL ruck and no decent CHF it will be hard. If the dogs ease off, satisfied after losing against one of the season favourites due to bad kicking, we can jump them and do the job.

After that, we should be Freo. But Freo aren't that bad. GWS, better hope they get the flu the week before. I'm going to that game and am not expecting a lovely evening for us. But who knows.

After that it's not too bad. We're in a good spot right now.

Yeah.. GWS don't kick long to their big forwards. You're clutching at straws.

Reality is the pressure brought in the last game and a half is too much for Richmond to handle.. we know the next 4 will set up our season, it will not be taken lightly

The pressure Adelaide bring will be too much for most teams this season not sure what the other half is since we ran over Melbourne in the second half the week before

2nd youngest team of the round, dominated them , no ruck and libba injured
only issue is we arnt playing any natural forwards, which kills us

Libba got injured right at the end, bit rich using that as an excuse, and you are using your million dollar full forward as a ruck then complaining about having no forwards......ok

Lol.

You are welcome to discuss football but keep it civil no one here cares for your insults or personal opinions, i'm also pretty sure most people here are older than 3 and have in fact seen Richmond play finals o_O

I'd rather play finals on the back of a soft draw then just have a few good days!

Each to their own Tiger, but I can't take another Elimination Final defeat at the hands of a mediocre side. That debacle against Norf in 2015 left me #eco all of 2016. Winter in Melbourne without AFL is long and cold.

You don't win in September by beating Carlton twice and losing to the Crows by 80 points. We need to beat some genuine contenders to get this gorilla-sized monkey off our backs.

Three scenarios.
1. We make the finals and win at least one.
2. We make the finals and bomb again.
3. We miss the finals.
The next month will probably show us which of the three is likely to apply.
I still feel scenario 1. is the most likely (if they stop mucking around with our forward structure).
But only if we win a least one of the next three games.

if we dont win a final we may aswell ship off cotch dusty rance and jack and supercharge a rebuild

flag contention in 3-4 years if done right (just in time for maurice jnr ;) )

Agree that heads will roll if we don't win a final.

Selling our guns would depend on the incoming coach's plan.

Sometimes a new coach comes with his own players and a new take on some existing ones.

If we beat the Dogs and Freo I would be stoked.....
The loss to Adelaide showed that we are far from top four quality.
We haven't beaten anyone that good but we have won games that the old Richmond would loose.
If anyone told me at the start of the year that we would be 5-1 I would have taken that on any day of the week.

Actually the loss to Adelaide showed we are far from Adelaide, like everyone else right now. The only thing about Adelaide is they could have hit their peak already and will see teams slowly catch up in the middle of the season, in saying that they are a bloody good outfit and look better than any team in recent years.

Won't lose to Sydney at the MCG, it just doesn't happen. Won't lose to St Kilda at the MCG, or will grab the Etihad game, or both. We play DS well so the Dockers later in the year shouldn't be an issue as they will be tanking for picks at that stage knowing Fyfe is coming to Richmond via FA.

Could easily go 15-7 and enjoy our favourite 5th spot, and play Melbourne in the elimination final...... and win :)
