Perth GloryFC Thread-2018/19 PREMIERS!! FEAR OUR WRATH!!

Should have won.

Very disappointing result. Bruno scuffed several chances he should have done better with. Tando is an experienced campaigner and should be pretty embarrassed, he cost us big time.

Shanghai had never beaten an Australian side in 8 previous attempts.

Yeah, such a pity. But we haven't been playing football. They are a great team who have just finished up there season, and should have won the K League. Makes sense we would fade. I am finding our performances to be very promising.

The young players are doing exceptionally well. We must sign up Aspro. Stynes reminded me of Max Burgess. Bodnar, Rawlins and Ingham played well. Wilson looks mature and will be a very good replacement for K Poppa. Obviously Fornaroli and Castro have been huge too.

Both games I've seen our line up and expected us to be completely blown away. Sucks to not hold on for at least a point, but we've still exceeded my expectations.

Perth Glory is delighted to confirm that German defender Sebastian Langkamp has signed a two-year deal with the club.

Seems like a very good replacement for Grant.

ECU Joondalup SC First team players Luke Bodnar, Callum Timmins and Riley Warland have all accepted an opportunity at Perth Glory for the 2021 season.

Vice president Steve Amphlett thanked them all for their time at the club. “All three players were vital members of the Jacks NPLWA title winning side in 2020,” he said.

“So, on behalf of the club, it’s sponsors, members and supporters, I would like to thank them for their efforts in their time at the Campus and wish them all the best on their next challenge with Richard Garcia’s side.”

Bodnar played in the ACL and friendly v Perth SC. Timmins was part of the confirmed finalised squad on the website but curiously Warland wasn't. The article suggests he has signed for the first team squad though. Good to see Warland back and hopefully he can start reaching that potential.

I personally am a fan of our side. A bit of experience but definitely will be opportunities for our promising kids coming through. Here is hoping Garcia can get the most out of the side.

All those kids played in the youth team a few years ago.

Bullshit. But, playing a lot of kids and 3 games in 6 days including travel will take its toll on anyone.
Regardless of context you don't want these habits of letting results slip late become the norm. It happened all throughout our Asian stint, it's happened again here. These guys get paid well to run out and close games off. Hopefully they can start doing it soon.

Looks like our home game against Macarthur is being moved from Friday to Saturday.

Thankfully Ingham is gone.
Hopefully he was removed in similar fashion as that fella who put his shoes on the table in Casino.
