Bit optimistic there Forward Press
It kind of looks like a rolled up upside down condom
The Kwinana Fwy, Northbridge Tunnel and Great Eastern Hwy upgrades were all on time and on budget. Barnett has had a solid track record. The only recent big infrastructure project in Perth that has been on time and not over budget is the Mandurah train line. Expect this one to be a couple of years behind schedule and $100 million over budget.

Apples and oranges. Metricon is a 25000 seat ground that is really just a grandstand with a roof over the top. It's not fully enclosed.$821 million!
That's just silly.
Gold Coast stadium was torn down and put back up for $144 million.

Whats wrong with Homebush/Olympic Park? Trains buses and taxis go right up to the door.Looks good. Cities have learnt that Stadiums only work if they are within walking distance of the CBD.
Thanks god we'll never see another Waverly,Football Park or Homebush.

May actually look a little different once built.
It has only been confirmed that Brookfield Multiplex have won the bid to design, build and manage the stadium.
Cupholders in the seats, already off to a good start![]()

If we wanted a Toyota we would have just redone Subiaco Oval, but we dont want a Toyota, we want world class. Cost is irrelevant now.Yeah, but it's still an awesome ground to go to, to get around, and to watch footy in. I understand that the Perth Stadium needs to be significantly larger, but it seems like you're buying a Porsche, when a Toyota will do just as fine for half the price.
more like a raincoatso it does have a roof then!
