Agreed, for some reason he has stopped coming forward at all this series.

Usually he hangs back then occasionally surprises the bowler with a front foot drive. Probably good for Aussie pitches, unlikely to work in England. How did he go in the county season?
He killed it. Looked a class above. After a few failures people will stick in the boots in and point out his technique, which has worked well for him so far. Handscombe too good of a player to keep missing out and when he makes runs in Perth someone else who fails will cop it.

Due some runs, but surely has enough credit in the bank for the time being.

Not going to be wearing a Baggy Green for much longer if he continues to play French Cricket.

He boasted in the press conference about the "brutal" sledging at Brisbane.
I cant wait to see this guy in England facing the duke ball . Looks like an average player with a big mouth.

Enough credits from what? A couple of decent not outs against Pakistan on flat pitches that boosted his average 12 months ago??? Or is it the credits earned from that one 50 in India half a year ago and the couple of starts he made in the shield.

Victorians should just man up and admit he is absolute gash at the moment and would be lucky to average 20 this series if he stayed put. Even Ricky Ponting has come out and said that Handscomb is the one player England are begging Australia to keep selecting because that is how much he has been found out.

Is Maxwell the only potential replacement? Burns looks in good nick....
It's between those two in all likelihood. I also like the idea of bringing in an extra bowler for Perth, plus Melbourne has been taking spin this year so Maxy's offies will be handy down here.

Since when is 14 and 12 a "good start"?

Different rules for Victorians apparently....

The levels that the vic brigade are going to, to defend this guy beggars absolute belief. He is a shot duck and what beggars even more belief is that if he is to rightfully be dropped, more than likely he will be replaced by one of their own who was unlucky to be dropped in the first place. Talk about amateur hour

The problem for Handscomb in not being able to move quickly onto the front foot is that the moment bowlers know this, they can concentrate on bowling a much fuller length, and as we all know, that increases the chances of LBW as well a bowler's propensity for late swing. Australians are not good against the swinging ball. I'm not writing Handscomb off, but he needs to spend many hours working on his technique if he wants to enjoy a long career at Test level. When Ricky Ponting comes out and says this, a young cricketer really needs to sit up and take notice. Good footwork is good batting.

Ferguson makes three blokes in good nick. Not a good time for Handscomb to be having a slump, but it is what it is. Renshaw was horribly out of form and got jumped by Bancroft, it is on the cards for Handscomb.

Maxwell is in pole position, but we have options.

Jon Holland? Can bowl and our best domestic spinner. Thoughts?
Agar seems to be the favoured secondary spinner, and if we went the two specialist spinners they'd probably look at a seam bowling all rounder, possibly Stoinis.

Victorian,wont get in unfortunately.
Don't post s**t like this. It's embarrassing. Tried and failed at test level.
