Brownlow is being changed so that Nick has a better chance of winning, while the umpires will be told to up his vote count. Expect him to poll every game next year and win it in a landslide. The amount of discussion and groveling is becoming embarrassing for the Collinwgood football club and the league in general. With that in mind, the AFL either needs to hand him the award to stop the talk, or they need to stop feeding into the narrative that him not winning everything is some great injustice, and well all know it will be the former.

You have to think it takes the shine off any forthcoming awards given there was so much whining about it beforehand. There will definitely be a sentiment that he's been given rather than earned the awards due to the pressure of the media and various role players within the AFL.

Nick should have won three Brownlows by now if the voting was fair.

GAJ should also have won 2 before he got his first in 09.
07 and 08 he was clearly the MVP, the coaches and players and media awards, yet was pipped. I see Nick Diacos similarly.
