have an ALP state govt. so there is some hope. I think TAS will be OK and WA as well. Still positive. Labor are next level
on campaigning these days compared to the LNP so I still have faith this will get up. If it does, it further ****s the coalition.

Today was fairly compelling and judging by the response of the public it may have resonated. Australians historically aren’t yes voters. It will be a lot closer and not as clear cut as many want to believe

Dutton asks dozens of questions - questions he himself could do some basic research on but chooses not to. Because he is not after answers.

And those questions HAVE been answered. Not all directly by Albanese but by the people who have the understanding and expertise to give authoritative answers. You referenced one of those answers yourself.

WHAT has been Dutton's response to these answers? Has he been satisfied? Has he even replied?

But that is not the point is it? Because this is just a political game being played by Dutton not in a legitimate effort to clarify community concerns about an initiative that has overwhelming support in general terms but to amplify them for political gain. To secure a much needed political victory to secure his position within his own party.

And if those questions get answered, more will arise. And on it goes. Cynical self-serving politicking at its absolute worst that eats away at public trust in our government - with the Indigenous Community as a pawn. What a disgrace.

Benefit of engagement maybe convinces some to switch vote to yes (not Dutton but others) but risks conferring legitimacy on an otherwise irrelevant opposition

Seriously? Even members of his own party have come out to criticise Dutton's statement. His comments about the Voice being a 'Canberra' model that ignored regional voices was a flat out lie.

The only people who would have found that tripe compelling would be rusted on Dutton supporters - not because what he and his inept deputy had to say were strong on either facts or logic.

It was a cry for division to secure Dutton's floundering position within his own party - using Indigenous Australians as a platform.

A signal of just how low the Liberals have sunk.
