Just listened to Disingenuous talking to Sabra Lane on ABC radio.

FMD he’s shameless and crafty.

He’s clearly taken media training.

Now delivering a LITANY of breathtaking lies in the most reasonable, calm, reassuring voice.

If you weren’t aware of the background to the Voice so far you could easily be taken in by it.

I’m still pretty confident that this referendum will go against type and Yes will prevail comfortably, because the world really has changed since the last referendum, and a lot of those changes are the ones that have seen the Libs turfed out of office left right and centre, but still, it was sobering to see just how devious this man is willing to be.

Reminds me of the title of that book about the orchestrated resistance to climate change action - Merchants of Doubt.

Surely at some point Albanese, Dreyfus and someone in the media (anyone?) call him out on those blatant lies. Speers tried on Insiders, asking him if he really was saying the opposite (from 'private discussions') to what the solicitor general and attorney general had said in public. Dutton is adopting the █████ tactic of just tell bare-faced lies, and dare people to challenge you.

Albanese just needs to come out and list the lies and discredit them. And needs to get his cabinet team to begin every interview/presser with the same point.

Prob is that you have to be really well researched. When you have to respond immediately to an untruth, you actually need to know what the truth and able to reference evidence, otherwise you end up looking petty or worse, you get the facts wrong yourself.

It was called out by David Speers on Insiders last weekend, when Dutton said he knew that the Solicitor General had given difference advice behind closed doors vs publicly.

Not at all. Warren Mundine came out and said he’s disappointed with the Liberals decision to oppose the constitutional voice and aim for all those “regional voices”, saying the Liberals should be a hard No and oppose any type of Voice full stop.

The far right still thinks Dutton is a “leftie”…..
