Like with Tubbys sole ODI century Forrest was so stodgy in that innings he arguably put us in a losing position going off memory.

Yeah he was too sedate for ODI cricket.

He was apparently in good SS form off the top of my head (not 100% sure since it was so long ago) but it was thought that the ODI side was a place to trial potential Test debutantes so lo and behold he got an ODI berth instead.

So much for that idea.
