Peter Siddle

3/114 on debut on a road.

There have been much worse debuts so well done.

Good sign for Siddle is that Ponting was prepared to bowl him often and give him the new ball. It's usually pretty clear when Ponting has no faith in a bowler.

To the poster who said he will have a ripping average (who is no doubt an Indian supporter) he now averages 38, only 4 runs away from the mighty Zaheer Khan.

What would Joe the camera man say about P Siddle i wonder????

a poor man's Mick Lewis.

Pedestrian.

christ is he the best we can come up with ??? we are struggling:thumbsd:

You're all a bunch of knee jerking tools.

Peter Siddle bowled superbly on a pitch so flat they may as well have been playing out the back on the road. Leading wicket taker in his first innings in Test Cricket. Pretty good for a pedestrian.

In first class cricket, Siddle has a better bowling average, strike-rate, best figures and economy rate than Bollinger.

In one day domestic he has a better average and strike rate.

In 20/20 he has a better economy, strike-rate and average.

He's a better batter.

He's over 3 years younger.

Don't let your anti-Vic agenda get in the way of a huge mound of bullshit :thumbsu:

You give no credit to the performance of the Indian bowlers and the incompetence of our batsmen. (Sans Watto)

The pitch makes jack all difference to swing bowling. If we rely on grass and cracks to get our wickets, what does that say about our bowlers?

Has taken 4 of our 11 wickets in the match so far a very good effort considering a) the conditions and b) the lack of fire power of this Australian attack.

Will be a very good player in due course. Very talented bowler and is toiling hard on a pitch where not even Lee is taking wickets.

Your opinion aint worth much when you post that a bowler immorally claimed a wicket by appealing for an LBW which was given.
some of us believe in sportsmanship.

he was two pitch lengths outside off when he was struck.

I certainly wouldn't have appealed.

hey! but that's just me.

do as you choose.
